Giving the starters time to gel
Keeping the beautiful game alive
Under the radar off season pickup. ......Rasaul Butler

Best SF on the court tonight. And didn't need to pad his stats with Tech free throws

Oh, and Go Spurs
Very underrated addition.
Has been better than West at times even, when they sub him as a 4. There is more spacing and ball movement in the 2nd unit, and he is capable of making plays off the dribble. West doesn't add more rim protection to what Rasual does, and is less mobile, foul prone, etc. Both need a rim protector though.
Butler is more versatile bc you can play him as a 3/stretch 4 credibly. West in reality is a traditional banger 4/bad 5 lacking in rebounding and rim protection.
Butler also allows Anderson time to develop that 3 point shot, and get better while we are still winning.

Rasual just plays with passion, looks like his life depends on getting minutes. I'm loving this pickup and I believe it will pay dividends down the road.

Lots of people called it over picking guys who are clearly over-the-hill (Allen, Prince etc) that will offer nothing but being a traffic cone on defense.

Rasual Butter's more of an energy guy. Too old to be playing a lot, but just young enough to make a difference out there. Good bball IQ, and knows how to play defense. Can't wait to see how he contributes in the playoffs. This bench has the makings to be something magical offensively.
You guys are delusional. Rasual is a hop, skip and jump from being waived. Sure he has some energy plays, but he's a scrub.

10-13, 3-4 from 3, only had 2 free throws.
2 steals, 2 blocks, 2 assists

have you been watching games? he's been very good in the limited minutes he's received, and his multi-dimensional play has really helped on both ends of the court.

Butler is what we all wanted from TMac tbqh.
If TMac woulda contributed like this we still would be tasting the semen fallout imo

Butler's been great and will get better, but the bench overall is playing lights out, including manu who leads the motley crew. Despite both he and patty having off nights shooting, still finding ways to create havoc on defense and generate easy points. Very fun to watch at this point in the season and very much looking forward to matchups with the top tier western conference teams.

He is our wild card if we need someone to go one on one with Matt Barnes :hat

He's an NBA journeyman, per par.

he has low mileage for a 36 year-old..770 games played (around Wade/Al Jefferson #games, both are +5 years younger with significant injury layoffs) and has only averaged 20MPG once since 2010...He is not Caron Butler or Tyasun Prince level of washedupness..There is definitely a hop and spryness in his step hopefylly it stays the same as he isn't likely to average more than 10MPG (currently 8MPG) unlike last season with Wizards where played basically starters minutes..

The bench play brings much joy when they are alive like that.
