How can you not see how much impact you have if you are in the above mentioned category? People can act humble or discreet, but there is no way one can downplay his impact on the game and underrate himself.

The Cucks are so humble they had 1 in the case and gave it away. What a classy and unselfish organization.

Kobe Bryant hired a film crew to follow him throughout what might be his final season (http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball-dont-lie/kobe-bryant-hired-a-film-crew-to-follow-him-throughout-what-might-be-his-final-season-203452948.html)

Everyone in the NBA grew up having their egos massaged but not everyone is arrogant about being part of an exclusive club. Basically, they can have a massive ego without being arrogant since having an ego & being humble aren't mutually inclusive.

I know you are being sarcastic, but when has westbrook actually been arrogant? Durant missed a majority of last season and westbrook was playing at an MVP and westbrook just said KD is the best player in the world.

KD gets the ball in the 4th majority of the time...if westbrook was an ass he would have.complained already.

Conley

As far as young players from a poor background who came into the league w/ a lot of hype & play in a large market, John Wall is the most humble young player in the NBA. Conley is a legacy kid & grew up in an upper middle class community, thus he isn't phased by money/fame. He also didn't come into the league w/ a lot of hype & struggled early on in his career which was a humbling experience for a lotto pick.

Westbrook has a chip on his shoulder & a massive ego, he isn't necessarily arrogant.

Seriously? I don't give a fuck what he says in press conferences. I'll judge him on what he does on the court, and his antics are extremely arrogant with all the chest pounding, screaming, gun holstering look-at-me! bullshit.

Being humble is rare. Id say most if not all spurs players are absoulte douches...not even sure why fans bother with this charachter shit...just watch them play..so long as they are not criminals, rapist, pedophiles or killers...who gives a shit

Spursfan: ong, spurs players are so kind and humble:lmao

Sports aren't the place to be humble. Look at all the greats in every respective sports..arrogant assholes.

Confidence doesn't require arrogance... I think a lot of people are confusing that in this thread. People who are supremely confident are often the most humble. It's the ones who have false bravado who are secretly not confident.

Having an outgoing personality and celebrating overtly doesn't necessarily mean you aren't "humble" either, though..

Yep Kawhi turns down kids for photographs, Duncan flips off people who take pictures of him, Parker cheats with teammates wives, Neal raped, etc.

Ya..the good thing about cheering for the Spurs is that they rarely have any reprehensible human beings on the roster..I don't care about the personalities of athletes that I cheer for, at all, as long as they aren't pedos/rapists/animal abusers/playing a part in the murder of a family member/shitty teammates(since it affects the on-court success), etc..I don't even care if they're criminals, we all have friends that do dirt:lol..

This exactly. If he was doing that I football, someone would have taken a 15 yard penalty to crush him after a play to injure him. If he did it in baseball, pitchers would hit him with so many fastballs he'd retire. Shit even if he was playing hockey some team would put in a goon and smash him against the glass then punch him out.

Basketball is the only major sport where Westbrook's faggy antics could or would go unchecked. Definitely a majorly arrogant player. I don't care what he says for PR after particular games to project the image his agent suggests.

It depends on your definition of humble.

You do have people that are down to Earth, honest and that don't try to overselll themselves, for example Dirk tonight saying he got lucky with that banked three... and then you have douchebags like this:

Boris Diaw tbh he could probably be a 20/10 guy on a bad team taking a lot of shots, but he knows his role can have a bigger impact on the game overall.

It's all relative. If you're one of the 250 best, playing in a league with the other 249 best, you'll be constantly exposed to people who are equally as good or better than you, which is probably a humbling experience. These guys were all stars in HS/college, yet only a handful are stars at the pro level.

Sure, but my point was that most of them didn't just become that way, all of a sudden..virtually all of them were High School or college stars that have had their egos stroked for their entire adult lives..

On the court, maybe the 8th man on the Bucks may not feel as good as Lebron, but when he leaves the floor, he's still an NBA rotation player with millions that will immediately attract the attention of anybody in his vicinity, even if they don't know anything about his productivity on the court:lol..

Diaw is just plain LAZY & needs motivation to bring it. Rasheed was the same type of player.
