View Full Version : Kawhi has never gotten a technical foul in his career

Ginobili hasn't had one in four seasons, Duncan had one last season, Aldridge has 2, Parker had 2, Danny Green had zero last season and has had only one in his entire career. The Spurs are the NBA's All-Grown-Up Team... Don't show this thread to George Karl-- it would probably make him cry.

You're right.

"Wallace is currently the NBA's all-time leader in player technical fouls (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technical_foul), with 317.[1] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rasheed_Wallace#cite_note-1) Wallace also holds the single-season record for technical fouls. In the 2000–01 season, Wallace received 41 technical fouls over a span of 80 games, about one technical foul for every two games."

Game 4 of the 2012 WCSF at the Clippers.

SpursTalk reaction to it at the time: http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=197616&highlight=LOL+Butler

As a side note, the last play of that game -- the final play of a series between the Spurs and Clippers -- is remarkable to see again (forward to 1:36 of this video):

Kawhi 5-0

This is why Kawhi is the dude. He's an enormous talent, but he's not an annoying, puffed-up prima donna like so many players in the league. Cousins is a cancer to the Kings. What a loser! Guy hasn't won anything yet plays like the league owes him something. His attitude is radioactive.

Other players who are absolute bollocks because of their attitudes:
Chris Paul (whiny crybaby loser)
Dirk Nowitzki (self-absorbed retard)
James Harden (prima donna false prophet)
etc. etc. etc.

Kawhi is gangsta because of his game. Classiest player in the league. A little bit of Ice Man in his game.

Kawhi's was a stupid double tech. And Caron was trying to rattle him and he just laughed it off like the awkward he is and kinda shoved him back.

Anybody know how few T's Wilt was tagged with in his career? The ESPN website reflects "0", but in doing a little reading I found one game in 1961-62 when he apparently got tagged with two. I know Wilt is famous for never fouling out of a game. Despite being absolutely hammered on he didn't retaliate. Seems logical that a player with that level of self-control would have rarely gotten T'd up.

Although he sometimes complains, Kawhi doesn't really "whine". In addition to not using T-foul words, he isn't overly demonstrative, and he lets things go. He always stays in the game, which doesn't lend itself to whining.

Most of the time he's too.

Harden jumps sideways, away from
the basket, directly into defenders (often that are already beaten off the dribble) and then flails his limbs and baby necks his way to 10-15 trips to the line each game. I've seen Kawhi move laterally into defenders in much the same way this year. However, Leonard keeps his balance and attempts to make the shot. Once he starts getting superstar foul calls, he will become even deadlier. (He became a much better defender when his reputation improved and he wasn't getting called for simply defending a good player.)
