Bryant was impressive while he was called the next coming of Jordan, despite falling short.
Rousey was just the biggest girl on the playground until she ran into a skinny girl who knew how to fight.

If Ronda Rousey was black she would have never gotten much coverage.

I agree, any criticism of a woman means you hate all women. Glad to see someone else is equally triggered by all this cis-male misogyny.

Social issues aside, as a competitor in an individual sport, rousey's record is still pretty impressive. Almost every great fighter has lost ar some point once complacency sets in and before anyone throws Mayweather at me, this is not a sport where you can emerge victorious without sustaining or inflicting any real damage. They mix it up. Not that in a rousey defender or apologist, but I'll but she comes back strong and regains the title.

There is no such thing as "acceptable women's sports." Not even volleyball. Saying there is hints at the one inequality that holds true today as it did 40 years ago...entertainment equality. There is no entertainment value in women playing sports the way there is with women in porno or working at Subways serving me some sammiches.
Either way, fuck both of them. One was a big fish in a fish bowl, the other was the biggest beneficiary of circumstance in the history of sports. You could have plugged Alex English, TMac, Iverson or Melo into those teams and they'd still have rang 5 times because of the Coach and the Bigs. FACT.

Very true, scrah. Mmm.., young Anna Kournikova.

This isn't completely true. She would have been featured on America's Most Wanted or Cops.

Billiards. Not really a sport but a game nonetheless.

Rousey
Even moreso after Tate was able to take Holly down, tbh. Proves that Ronda was just the too damn strong for Tate, that's it.
