this manu won't be there in the playoffs, we need to be learning how to run the offense through/with LMA. leaning on manu like this is only hurting the Spurs long term

I wanted Tim to retire after being swept by PHX in 2010. Not because I'm a hater, moron, but because he looked finished, and as a 4-time champion had nothing left to prove. No one could have predicted or expected his renaissance.

I wanted Manu to retire after 2013 for obvious reasons. Even he thought he was done. Hmmm, maybe Manu was a hater for considering retirement? Yeah, that's it, Manu the hater.

Idiot.

I didn't call anybody out specifically, but you seem to be taking this thread awfully personally. Projecting much?

That's funny, I could've sworn Manu and Tim were the ones putting the nail in OKC's coffin in 2014.

Yes he will. I guarantee Pop will be resting Manu a lot mid season. Unless the Spurs get decimated by injuries, I see 20 mpg and 20 more games off for Manu this season.

History is only meaningful if it happened in their lifetime. In the old ABA days, I actually liked the Utah Stars for a few years simply because my favorite Spur (Chaparral!), Ron Boone, left the Chaps in '71 and went to Utah for 5 seasons. (Aside: I wish Utah would send "Jazz" back to New Orleans where it fits and go back to Utah "Stars".)

Manu did say he expected to play around 18-22 through the season, meaning I think averaging 20 mins.

He's been playing in some games 24 mins, which is kind of more than I think Pop planned, and the absolute most he would play Manu in RS. Last season the OT games proved, more than that really wears him out.

The SL just really needs to get it going so we can decrease that load a little bit.
