From what he shares the surgery was delicate and he was in bed and in a lot of pain for the first 3 days and unable to be self sufficient fully ambulatory and doing things like driving until after a week. Recovery is already 4 weeks he said, but after that no specific timeline bc the surgery and injury is rare. He's aware that he will need to get reconditioned physically and all that.

Spunds to me as though the team has been hinting that 8 weeks are more likely than 4. Given his age and the extreme caution that the Spurs' team docs normally employ, I think we had better assume it will be closer to the April games before we see him in uniform again. Bonner is a great lock room guy and has improved defensively. He's worked a lot on his game since he first came aboard. It also doesn't mean he'll be with the Spurs, but if so it's not a bad quality the Spurs are loyal to their guys. They wouldn't keep him and/or play him meaningful minutes anyway imo.
