This team simply can't strictly rely on a 38-year-old Ginobili and and less-than awful Parker to be that kind of play-making option..

I don't know what's available in the market, but it is huge gamble going into playoff with this structure..

Not really IMO..

Players that need the ball are useless when they're playing with Ginobili, and Parker becomes a liability when he's a peripheral player..

Spurs are just gonna have to endure the nights where Ginobili/Parker are injured or ineffective..

Between Manu's injuries/ lack of minutes and Parkers Decline/bad matchups, thats almost every other game. there has to be a better answer than that.

It could be a must if the season develops to where we can't count on Tony and Manu. In that case, yes we need a trade. Right now Harlem is right, even Cojo was marginalized by playing next to Manu and Manu is still a terrific player when he's healthy and rested. Tony can still play his role as well. But when these two struggle (Tony looking old) or need rest or are bumped and bruised (Manu), we are in trouble. It would be time for Pop to maybe start to give some play time to Ray and Kyle. A little bit here and there can go a long way to get their rhythm and chemistry going too because over the course of a long season you will need them Pop!

Obviously we want another creator, but it wouldn't work with the current construction of the roster IMO..

It's kind of puzzling that Anderson hasn't been given more of a shot as a bench creator when Manu is off, though, but I guess Pop doesn't trust him, yet..

I don't think they are using Diaw right either. He can create as well.

Yes Boris can create a nice bondiola sandwich.

There must be a lot of teams looking to dump one of those.

Pop had no recourse but to trust him in the 76ers game. I think Pop doesn't know how to use him yet, he said Kyle would play a variety of positions through the season. For sure he doesn't trust him enough, but at the same time he has not completely benched him. So Pop is conflicted with Kyle. On the one hand: Young player, you can't ask him to be consistent, he will make mistakes, its a given. On the other: He needs playing time to develop. So here we are, he's gotten a little of play time under a very strict watch and supervision, which is weird because he has no set role. He's the odd man out. Pop has kept Rasual consistent in the bench, meanwhile Kyle has played with the starters and the bench. That is a credit to Kyle's versatility but it doesn't help him much. I think if he had a set role, eventually we would see his playmaking because he has talent passing. Shooting, not so much, but he can pass, but to make adequate passes you need chemistry with guys, you need to know their tendencies what they like to do, how they like the ball, etc. After the 76ers game he stated precisely how he didn't have chemistry with the starters because they never play together even in practices. Considering that, I think he did very well in the 76ers game. He might have been able to help some in this game, or at least get a learning lesson.

Without playing with a set group of guys, we won't see Kyle's true potential. Maybe eventually he will have played with everyone enough to not matter. Danny has been making all these plays off the dribble, I think Kyle would do better in that role, but he can't shoot like Danny can... and then again Danny is not shooting well.

A player to get Parker out of the lineup would be nice. I don't think that player would have to be some great playmaker though. He would need more length, decent dribble, and a decent 3pt shot.

The Spurs need shooters. But it doesn't matter because Pop wouldn't play a shooter over Parker anyway.

Gerald Henderson would be nice. Probably be difficult given the contracts on our team unless we were prepared to trade Patty.
