No surprise there though. Since Jordan, the NBA evolved into a star player's league. The vast majority of anointed stars get a very favorable and biased whistle. Not all stars, but most of them. You can ask the same of stars like Dwyane Wade and LeBron James and Kevin Durant throughout their respective careers. Example. 2000 Finals.
Al Iverson. Certainly a huge marketable player. I think at that time he lead in jersey sales.
Yet we had to gag as we watched Derek Swisher put his hand on Iversons forehead as they both stood out by the arc, Iverson with the ball. Then, Swisher farking leaves his hand there! For like 3-4 seconds. Right in front of the ref! With no call.
