I think they start by removing things like "mass murder" and "holocaust" from their position.
There are plenty of pro-lifers who take the position of trying to help pregnant women find supportive, alternative options to abortion.
They could also stop focusing on the providers, what they are doing is completely legal.

You can assume that everything I know I have posted already. That won't change the fact that you have pussed out and stonewalled for hours when all you had to say is "I can think of no plausible alternative at this time."
Go ahead -- say it.
"I can think of no plausible alternative at this time."
Just like that. It's that easy.
Give it a shot.

This should keep you going for a few more hours.

Continue on with your tantrum, I'll check back in on you tomorrow dear.

Robert Dear vandalized Planned Parenthood clinic decades ago in South Carolina: ex-wife
Dear’s ex-wife Barbara Mescher Michaux, who resides in South Carolina where Dear once lived, told NBC News that more than 20 years ago he put glue in the locks of a Planned Parenthood clinic near where the couple was then living.
They were married from 1985 to 1993, according to NBC News.

What proof is there that the shooting at PP is quantifiably related to Mike Huckabee's comments?
I don't recall suggesting they were directly related.
I'm saying leaders are fanning anger against Planned Parenthood with hyperbolic (and, since they continue to talk about the PP organ videos as if they were legitimate, dishonest) rhetoric.

Christian Conservatives Scramble to Deny Stirring Up Violence with Their Incendiary Speech
It's one big "Who, me?" from the religious right after attacks like Colorado Springs
In what could be the greatest head-spinner of the season, Christianist Republicans, from presidential candidates and congressmen to Fox News anchors and sleazy video-splicers, are scrambling (http://www.alternet.org/news-amp-politics/5-awful-gop-responses-planned-parenthood-shooting) to deny (https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/dr.-carson-is-sorely-misinformed-pro-life-leaders-respond-to-ben-carsons-ch) that their words actually matter or have any real-world influence. We had nothing (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/11/29/gop-candidates-condemn-planned-parenthood-shooting-but-dismiss-link-to-antiabortion-rhetoric/) to do with any shooting rampage at Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs. Cough. Baby killers. Cough. Body parts for sale. Cough, cough.
To those of us on the outside, the relationship seems clear. Vicki Cowart, president of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, which was targeted in the CMP video hoax, has experienced the terrorizing first-hand. “We’ve seen an alarming increase in hateful rhetoric and smear campaigns against abortion providers and patients over the last few months. That environment breeds acts of violence.”
Even Ben Carson managed to briefly add up two plus two. “There’s no question the hateful rhetoric exacerbates the situation," he said on "Face the Nation."
But Laura Muzyka called Carson “sorely misinformed” and then, ironically, underscored his point (https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/dr.-carson-is-sorely-misinformed-pro-life-leaders-respond-to-ben-carsons-ch) by tacking on some hateful lies of her own. "The only thing that's extreme is Planned Parenthood's desire to see abortion without restriction through all nine months of pregnancy while they capitalize off dismembering preborn children and parting them out for sale.”
She added that, “No one in the pro-life movement ever calls for violence in return." :lol

Dems use the same tactics. The problem with the false equivalency argument is it draws a thin/blurry and subjective line between what is acceptable inflammatory rhetoric and what isn't. Instead of picking and choosing what is and isn't acceptable rhetoric based entirely on one's opinion, why not just go after the entire fear-mongering/pandering system that both these parties play?
Sorry, one party does far more in the fear/hate mongering, and that by a long way in any objective measurement.
You talk about "false equivalency", then paint both parties as somehow equally culpable of fear-mongering/pandering.
Answer this:
how do you know that?

So, it really isn't "obvious". If it were, justifying it would be a matter of stating or explaining it in a few sentences, which is all I was curious about.
If what you believed were really justified, it shouldn't be so hard to explain. That you had to throw a hissy fit and stomp off and pout says that you probably know you can't justify it.
I find that lazy, which seems to be a common trait on message boards. People like to avoid the real work of thinking, so they have all sorts of excuses why they won't do it, and continue weak-ass rationalizations even after their laziness has been pointed out to them.
Are you always this lazy, or is this the only thing you are lazy about?

The problem there is that the "fringe" on the left is not nearly as vocal, nor does the left really have a "thought leader" news outlet like fox news, with talking points handed out then dutifully repeated ad nauseum.
I won't claim there aren't nutters on the left, it is just that they aren't the ones that have stormed the battlements and taken over the party, ref: tea party.
The two sides are far from equivalent in that regard. There is still a modicum of sanity guiding most Democratic politics.

The baby parts stuff was totally irresponsible IMO. But they have every right to complain about Planned Parenthood without being labeled as fueling the deep desires of every anti choice, antiabortion zealot. When these claims are made haphazardly, then any disagreements on almost any subject can be linked to some zealot.
The passion in this debate runs deeper because there really are people that think humans are being killed. You have to understand this even if you know the mother's rights are possibly trampled, and the killing extends to rape, incest and life of the mother via complications. There are inconsistencies. People are passionate about this.
Now there are also people passionate about the death penalty. We might ask why these opponents are not attacking State Facilities where the penalty is being carried out. But immediately Blaming discussion of issues is dangerous IMO. Pointing out intentionally exacerbating violent behavior is not. Beware if you are disingenuously linking speech to a behavior.
Boots you get an automatic exemption as a zealot. You can't be stopped, either can Cluttered Notions. This is a law of the Universe...Allegedly...

Of course not.
What you fail to see while you're busy pandering to your cognitive bias is.....it doesn't fucking matter who did it first or who you *think* did it most. What matters is it's being done by politicians, period.
50 years from now, we'll read about the rise of neo-liberalism as both parties become virtually indistinguishable in actions...presenting and promoting wedge issues to campaign on and distract as they continue to fill their wallets and the wallets of their corporate sponsors while the electorate is left to argue the issue du jour.
Sure, there will always be the Puritan left as a token to those not beholden to the corporate nipple. They are a necessary sop who will never be allowed to gain serious traction against an establishment hack.....see Sanders v Clinton.
But, ignore this and clutch your equivalency teddy bear nice and tight.

Right wrong or indifferent the GOP has Roger Ailes and Clearchannel and they paint a pretty constant narrative of bullshit that there is no clear analog to on the other side. People like to rail against MSNBC but the last time I checked Bill Gates wasn't DNC leadership. I think he's right to hang his hat on the false equivalence because the two machines are not nearly the same.

Sure and I am not saying that one is inherently better than the other particularly when it comes to any particular candidate or person. I still acknowledge that one party tries to play thought police through major media and otherwise use dystopian tactics and the other doesn't. Roger Ailes founded Fox News and has a permanent RNC position. I cannot believe it just gets a pass.
They have that apparatus trained to teach their shit is fair and balanced while literally every other major carrier is independent of the political parties. Their coverage is very obviously intent on furthering the interests of the benefactor. Their talking heads are perpetually demonizing all other television media terming it M$M.
I don't like the dems for different reasons but the GOP is pretty fucked up. The only other country like that is Italy and of course Russia and I hate that comparison. They are known for corrupt and mismanaged governance.

I think the better question is where would the GOP stand in the electorate without gerrymandering and their newscorp?
I also think it's central to the polarization of politics on a personal level which I think is highlighted pretty clearly in this forum. You can see it's influence on quite a few people that post here as they parrot the divisive takes and methods. The station was founded in 96 which just so happens to be the year of the Republican revolution. They celebritized people like newt Gingrich, a decidedly corrupt motherfucker. The dems and that machine joined forces to dismantle the banking regulatory system.
You think Bush wins both times without that?
It might be all the difference in the world and either way it is a direct and obvious conflict of interest. You don't need to measure it.

In response to your first question, gerrymandering is the droid you're looking for. Fox didn't take down CNN until 02 or 03.
Polarization is a ploy of nascent neo-liberalism and currently serves both "parties".

Is pew neo-liberalism?
Republicans and Democrats are more divided along ideological lines – and partisan antipathy is deeper and more extensive – than at any point in the last two decades. These trends manifest themselves in myriad ways, both in politics and in everyday life. And a new survey of 10,000 adults nationwide finds that these divisions are greatest among those who are the most engaged and active in the political process.
