I haven't been a fan of that lineup since the beginning.
This particular game it was McDermott and thus, maybe everyone notices Anderson more, but really most games it has been Patty PnR defense with West is horrendous.

It has caused Pop to stagger them at times, but he's lately resorted to playing them together again. It's a problem for sure. Against the small ball teams you can even get away with Anderson at the 4, but against real bench bigs, its a massacre.

Most guys who are stars in the league arrive as stars, or at least with great expectations. Kawhi has been developed. If I thought about it, I might be able to come up with another example, but I can't off the top of my head.

I was thinking about this exact thing the other day, and I really think a lot of other teams wouldn't have recognized what they had with Kawhi. And he might not have ever figured it out himself. He could easily have been a good player, but not a star-level player if he had gone to another team.
