Nigga is currently the vegas favorite to win best actor. He's at even money versus the field on a number of books. Fassbender 2nd at +200

I thought Johnny Depp really crawled into the character of Whitey Bulger…Outstanding performance…

Good movie.... visually awesome and contrasting....as you get the beautiful landscapes, rivers, etc.... but then it gets bloody in some scenes with animals and battles.

B-

I felt Leo did a great job... but i dunno about oscar... especially in this kind of movie

I have no idea how they did that bear scene but it was awesome.

Solid movie but too long, dragging in some places. Basically watching a very long episode of Survivorman only without the monologue

Agreed..I felt like the directors and production spent a lot of time making it visually appealing that it dragged a bit with the story.

If he didn't win for portraying Jordan Belfort he's not gonna win for grunting and crawling around a forest for two and a half hours.

He couldn't carry his weight.

A waste of 3 hours. A fuckin' hodge-podge.

The original is swift, keen, smart, with a clarity that this remake cannot even approach.

Bigger sham? Tim Duncan never winning a DPotY award or Leo never winning an Oscar?

I get that hatred goin'...I listen, I read, I see. Then, I hate. Listening is most important, the spoken innuendos, the unspoken innuendos, the slights, big & small, exactly what I was thinking they utter. They knew. Hell, I wanted them to know. Wanted them to say it, because they saw. I keep it stored, all of it, up in my noodle. That way when they forget, I remind them.

Probably middle of the pack in terms of Leo's performances, but this year the only ones that will challenge him are Fassbender (Jobs) and Redmayne (Danish Girl).

Dicpario still a -400 fave right now but watch for the line movement in the coming weeks, if he's still a fave then he's virutally guaranteed to win it.

That was "Man vs. Wild" type shit to be honest. That's where I first saw what extreme measures a human would take to survive.

This. Biggest snub of the year.

He was nominated for an Oscar.

He's unfortunately going to lose to Stallone, but he was nominated.

I enjoyed it. Some Dead Man/Malick vibes. The dream sequences sort of sucked though.

Rip off of Depps Dead Man tbh. Solid movie but nowhere new Oscar material. Dicapuchinos acting was solid but also no Oscar material.

finally caught this one. hater is right that there are too many dream sequences. if they cut down on the pretentious shit, improved the pacing, it would've been an easy 5 star classic. as is, i'll give it 4 out of 5. still a very good movie though, borderline classic imo. the MVPs are Tom Hardy and Lubezki's cinematography.
:lol treeniggrs is burned into my head. even the black couple behind me were laughing at Hardy. killer performance though.
