G.Hill or Cory for me, but for the franchise I'd say T.Splitter because LMA would benefit from that a great deal in the future and Tiago knows this system so well. Guards are not as difficult to replace.

Tiago unfortunately could not stay healthy for us last season, but he's a terrific role player and complimentary player, and yes considering that Lamarcus is not a great passer, playing with Splitter would help. His defense aside, his passing was very underrated because we already have very good passers in the team. The bench could use his defense too.

Teams with real bigs remind me that West is a PF and not a C, so I had to go with Tiago there too.

I know you mean players still in the league. But imagine throwing Bruce Bowen into this defensive roster.

The problem with wishing for George Hill is that there was zero chance of having both him and Kawhi. Might as well wish for some of the retired guys, since neither could ever happen. If Hill came back here, it would be at/near the end of his career.

Marco is not missing at all so far. I know that the low offensive output gives that impression, but again, it's by design. Pop wants it that way. The Spurs game is going to become slower and slower, focusing on great defense and perfect execution on the offensive side. Marco doesn't bring anything to the table in this context.

Difficult to pick one but I would love to see GHill, Tiago, and CoJo back. I have watched CoJo a lot this year since I live in Canada. Man he's worth every $$ Toronto paid for him. He's showing great leadership once he's on the floor. It's great to see CoJo showing the things he has learned from the SPURS. I wish they can all come back but none the else I hope they have a great career.

A small precinct in Mass. counted votes after an election. The total was 311 Democrat, and 2 Republican. One old man said, "Well you know what this means?" Another replied, "Yep... some bastid voted twice."

A Hill/Green/Leonard trio would be defensively devastating... would love to see it. It's not an impossible scenario: Hill will be a free agent the summer of 2017, when he'll be 31 years old, and the salary cap is set to rise dramatically because of the profits from the NBA's TV deal. That would make Parker a $15mil back up in the last year of his contract, which could potentially be reworked like the Richard Jefferson contract, making it more reasonable. I can't see the Spurs using the stretch provision, but it's definitely an option.

Agreed (except for the "much" better shooter part). Hill just a longer defender. Caveat, Hill is getting long in the tooth, and was developed in the Spurs system. People always seem to overlook that, like with Cojo playing here four years. Ray was developed elsewhere, and has only two NBA seasons under his belt. Despite that, he has improved his overall FG % in those two years, as well as in his short stint this year, he's at .455 in his ten games. He was also shooting the three well in pre-season. With Simmons just appearing out of nowhere, it has put Ray on the backburner. Parker and Patty both healthy. But, I don't think Ray has done anything to embarass himself, thus far. They're developing him, maybe he gets traded, who knows. At the moment, he's just not needed. Had Patty not been injured Cojo would have never gotten so many minutes and had so many infatuated with him. That was a 10 million dollar dunk, and Canadians love him, so there's that.

Tiago. That on court chemistry he had with Patty, Manu and Diaw made them the best bench in the NBA. Also a good screener. David West sucks at setting screens. I don't think I've seen West make contact with anyone when he sets them.

Wasn't a big fan of George Hill when he was here, but my co worker who is one of the local club rats is good friends with George Hill (has pictures with him, Andre Roberson, and Blair at his desk) says that Hill really wants to come back to SA after his contract expires and do everything possible to come back. Also his girlfriend is from the Valley, and I think she wants to be closer to her family also.
