I wouldn't mind mills. Better defense and 3 point shooting. :lol

Yes, he has. Hope he stays healthy all season. Surprised he hasn't had any "rest" games yet.

I do not buy into this ... he was horrible last season after not playing with his national team and looks very good this season after playing in Eurobasket ...

This is the best I've ever seen Parker. I know he's scored more and been more active in the past. But, I love this "controlled" Parker who picks and chooses when to make an impact on the game. And it's usually when we really need someone to step and take control, he's been the one to do it. I still gotta get my head around that...lol.

I really like this Tony.

Last night was very evident to me that Parker has finally turned the corner. He had 16 points and 0 assist at halftime. Grizz were dragging off on him in the 1st half, so he just scored. Start of the 2nd half, they pressed him hard and early, so he only took 2 shots in the quarter and one he was fouled on. He had 5 ASSIST. 3 of those to Kawhi for 3.

It showed that Parker is finally looking to past first. So when teams try to surprise him with traps and such, he is already looking to pass and burning teams. If he registers they are playing him soft, well, why not take the open J or drive to the open lane. Parker is getting so many easy looks because he finally is passing early off his drives when teams try to collapse, which is forcing them to play off of him.

Honestly, if Parker had played this way his whole career, the Spurs would have had a couple of more championships at this point. He can make up for it by ringing again this year.

Also appears to have lost some weight and looks younger. He definitely looked out of shape at the start of the season.

last 10 games: 15/6/3 on 60 FG% in just 28 MPG..:toast..

First Half against Memphis was classic needed "Parker scoring" to stay afloat..Hopefully Aldridge comes along offensively soon because Tony isn't likely to keep this up for 82 games and it would be unrealistic to think so..

Very cool for you to admit this, I don't need for other posters to share my beliefs but it makes conversing with those who at least try to be objective instead of those just doing a schtick oblivious to the facts of the subject.

Tbh I've never really been a Parker hater. I just enjoyed trash talking nolyfe and his kawhi hating crew. Lol. It's getting old and played out though. I just want wants best for the Spurs and hopefully all players come along for the ride.

Playing with Aldridge and Kawhi as opposed to Blair and RJ will do that.

He's been good, and his defense is admirable. However, does this dude ever pass when he's leading the break? I swear, we've had sever 3 on 2s, 2 on 1s, and he takes it in every time. Sure, free throws are good, but get your teammates a dunk or easy layup to get them going, especially Danny.

Tip of the hat to TP, he's been great this season. He is helping to carry the first unit with Tim, LMA, and Green still figuring out their new roles while playing some of the best defense I've seen from him.

Yep. This is the balanced play that I wanted from Tony and he's doing it right now. He's gotta keep this going all season and throughout the playoffs. Spurs need this Parker. Also, please keep the emphasis on playing defense, Tony. Providing defensive resistance instead of being a sieve on that end of the court is making a huge, huge difference.

This. Huge!!

Folks around here really seem to have no idea that the addition of Aldridge and Kawhi's development into stardom means the defenses are not focusing solely or primarily on Parker as much these days, and that helps him immensely! Also, when he doesn't feel like he has to 'put the team on his back' (since that is now Kawhi's job, as he said in an interview the other day), he has more focus and energy on defense.

Finally, not having a (so far - knock on wood) lingering hamstring injury that he had from about the end of November on last year helps too.
