Apparently the girl at the center of the case had fabricated things. Hard for me to feel bad for him considering all of the other shit he's guilty of and the fact he's just a complete scumbag.

Nobody? Not a very enlightened post from someone who supposedly has an IQ of 168.

If it pleases you, I can ask the account holder if she would Google them and repost.

A six-year legal ordeal for ex-Spur Alvin Robertson ended Monday when a judge dismissed charges against him related to an underage sex ring.

State District Judge Jefferson Moore ruled Robertson, who played with the Spurs from 1984-1989, was innocent of charges of sexual assault of a child, trafficking an underage child for purposes of sex and forcing a sexual performance by a child.

The case against the former NBA star fell apart when it became apparent the state’s only witness had lied.

“There was no ring,” said Brent De La Paz, Robertson’s attorney. “There were no girls. There was one girl who made up the whole story.”

But during depositions in those civil cases, attorneys uncovered numerous instances where the girl fabricated stories. A regular theme of the stories, De La Paz said, was that she was abducted by a tall black man.

Calls to the special prosecutor were not returned.

Another case of "Blame the black guy" profiling.

Another case of "Blame the black guy" profiling.

This isn't profiling. This is a witness who told the prosecutors what they wanted to hear. It seems evident that the prosecutor knew for years the tall tale was not true.

He pulled enough other crap that this girl apparently found him a much easier target.

Its terrible he had to go through all this despite the fact he has been a pretty horrible person anyway. I have seen David Robinson at a high school game to watch his son play Bball. Polite and quiet and not real pleased with his kid's play and alone. I have seen Alvin Robertson at a Bball HS game with his posse that got into an altercation with another group yelling at each other the entire game and the police had to escort all involved into their vehicles.

Never er saw him at his daughters Bball games, he should have been there. She wanted him there I would imagine. He has however beat up various women. Wife, girlfriend, the usual... Possibly best/worst Spur of all time.

im glad the truth is known and he is exonerated from charges he did not deserve.

Its sad sad if he was indeed changing his ways. His immediate family was behind him and relieved. Unfortunately one's past can taint current events. Thanks for the article. This is exactly why lawyers must fight for their clients.

Yes, been charged and exonerated. It is the absolute worst because you cannot call the police for help.

Yep.

Had a friend go through the same sort of thing but not locked up.
It could have ruined his life. But in this case the accuser was crazy and the prosecutor careful as they had to charge but sensed something was not right. The strange thing is the guy had been in literally no trouble before.

I could sense it.
Sorry you had to get put through it. Lawyers are often shit on but they can be really important in these things. But there are some things that can never go back to normal. Sorry.

After the Iceman left and before DROB, Alvin was "the Spur", one of the few reason to go to the arena....very lean years.
Hope he gets back on track.

Man am I glad to hear this charge was bullshit. Still, how did everything turn so wrong for Alvin? His first couple of years here he just seemed like the nicest guy in the world. He'd always seemed genuinely happy and he loved to talk to fans and sign autographs, none of this gangster bullshit I hear about him later on.

I have. I was a former prosecutor and structural engineer that would break into prisons to to study their designs and the guard habits to find and exploit their weaknesses. I was to break in and test the world's most secret and secure prison. But during my fake abduction, they removed my microchip (which let my colleagues know where I was). Once I got to the prison, I realized they had changed wardens so no one knew that I wasn't supposed to be there. Most utter despair I ever felt.

Long story short, me and another inmate ended up hatching an escape plan which we executed semi successfully. I say "semi" because there were some glitches and some people got killed.

I changed jobs to something much less stressful.

Which one? Probably not though. His/their movies require too much of a suspension of belief. Except for the Rocky stuff.
