what are the potential storylines, tbh?

a few:

- He has no legs for that shot anymore

- He's done. Had a couple of good weeks, but I called it.

- Pop should really rest him until Jan/Feb/Mar

- Why are we going to Manu with Kawhi on the floor?

- This is why Green should be closing out games

- I wannna be yooouuur heeeeeero, baby

He was cold after Pop left him and Timmy on the bench too long, Pop is continuing to overcoach.

He moves towards the basket because he knows it's off, steals the rebound, and we score off his assist.

Kawhi is wide open asking for the ball.

Off topic: Spurs shouldn't have to resort to Tony/Patty lineups. Spurs need another wing player.

I'm actually surprised Kawhi didn't go for the post play with 6 secs left...

In the Clips series, a worn out Manu wasn't getting close-out minutes. I don't recall him getting many 4th quarter minutes at all. It's good to see a springy Manu closing out games. Though, I think if Green pulls out of his slump, he'll be getting the lion's share of close-out minutes.

LMAO. Look at that stroke. Body facing the scorer's table. Left elbow flying. Clicks his heels together in mid-air. And I bet there weren't more than two rotations on that ball on its way to the basket.

Swish!

I don't care how he does it, he does it.

- Why does that fat, selfish PG not pass it to Kawhi? I'm calling a krew meeting immediately. Time to get my e-dick sucked.

Because he's our closer?

I have news for you. You cannot train someone to do that. VERY few players in the league even want that shot. It's the reason Pop rations his minutes in the RS.

Not sure if this is funny, tbh.

Kawhi was shooting 3's well in the last games, better 3FG% than Manu, a team leaves him wide open at the three point line, and Parker doesn't give him the ball...

Call me crazy, but sometimes it's nice to take advantage of the high-probability shots...

Watch the clip again...it is right at the top of this page. Kawhi gives the ball to Tony and then never steps behind the three point line again during the play.

Tony did his usual job of attracting the defense (Manu's man moved to try help defense on Tony) and then, having done what he was supposed to do and noticing that Manu's defender has left Manu, did exactly the right thing and passed the ball to the OPEN three point shooter.

And btw, Kawhi did the right thing by moving in for a possible rebound if it didn't go in.

Tony, Manu and Kawhi all did exactly what they were supposed to do on that play. It is called "executing down the stretch"... a pretty good thing for us to do in close games.

He played great that whole game. That was a big shot, but not fatal if he missed it.

I think if Manu clanks that Leonard flies in and dunks it over 4 people ala Griffin.

It means 50/50 Manu wins or losses the game. With Kawhi it's a L automatic because he has that Kobe clutch gene.

After his pass, he's walking back to the three point line.

If the team want a three-point shot to close a game, it would make a ton of sense to go with the highest 3FG% in that game, and the season.
