Didn't even know "lifetime contracts" existed in sports. Smart investment.

Can't hate ... smart move by both parties. Much better than Adidas Paying Harden (who I still like) $200 mill so he can rock Jordans:rollin

i really don't get why Nike feels the need to waste so much money just to save taxes. They could just throw it to charity, it would be better PR.

Why not pay their 2nd and third world workers more than 25 cents /hr.? But I cant lie I love Nikes. But till this day I have never spent $100 or more on a pair so no new Jordan's for me ...sadly. But I cant do it even now as grown man. $180 because they Lebron or Kobe or Jordan is crazy stuff ...

good news is you cant get Last year's Lebron's for under $80 if you look hard enough ...I can wait a year ... sorta like buying a 2015 Mercedes this year while suckers spend much more for the 2016 even though the engine and body are mostly the same ...

I think they also signed Nadal and Federer to lifetime deals, surprised Lebron is the "biggest"

Disgusting. We did away with "lifetime contracts" with the 13th amendment thank you very much. This is 2015, not 1915. #nojusticenopeace.

Over. If Harden can command $200 over 10 years, there is no reason LeBron won't get $25 mil per year for the rest of his lifetime

It is said to be for over 500 mils.

Only the best of the best get offered these type of deals.

Other guy I know who had a lifetime contract was Jeff Gordon back in the late 90s with Hendrick Motorsports.

Why not wait for the next Kobe/Jordan superstar.

LeBronze is 2/6 and not a winner. He'll be a joke within a year or two when he's still stuck at 2 rings.

Big difference between voluntary lifetime contracts and involuntary lifetime contracts. Also slavery was abolished long before 1915 so your post is just wrong on so many levels.
