Mike was always about the win. Kobe was always about the storyline. If Kobe couldn't be in the spotlight, he'd just as soon lose. Mike openly states that he'd rather face the Blazers because of team basketball than have the Mike vs Magic show. No way in hell Kobe says that. Kobe always wants Kobe, however he can get there.

Hopefully when he retires all this shit can be put to rest and we can forget anyone ever made such a shitty comparison during a desperate time in the NBA.

Jordan is/was a politician. He said the Blazers b/c they were better and he didn't want to disrespect them and give them fodder; whereas, the Lakers were a cupcake team by championship standards.
