Tampa and the second ATL game worries me. NYG can't close out a game to save their life, so I'm starting to feel a bit better about that game. I think we go 15-1 resting against TB at the end of the year, but that second ATL game really has me thinking.

The best case scenario would be to lose a game and not worry about going undefeated. That way, your starters will get a double bye and have much less pressure on them in the playoffs, similar to the Saints 2009 SB season.
When the Saints got to 13-0, you could tell they were just mentally exhausted. Lose a game to regain focus and take the pressure off.

The Pats had a regular season winning record from 2006-2007 at 19, I'm pretty sure that's the record. The Panthers are at 16 the last two seasons, so they could break that record. Not that anyones pays much attention to that.

The thing that hurts them now as far as winning goes is they won't take any chances with anyone nicked up a bit. Those guys will now be sitting it out for the playoffs. Where if they had to have it they'd be sucking it up and out there,

that being said you still probably should have lost to the vikings, tbh, they were the better team that year but you got lucky with a ton of fluke fumbles, calls, and one bad throw in the end of regulation when they were on the edge of field goal range.

The Saints defense played exactly like they did all season; they gave up a ton of yards but they created turnovers. In the regular season they had 26 interceptions and 19 fumble recoveries, so it should be no surprise that they created turnovers in the NFC Championship game, especially considering they were playing against the QB with the most interceptions thrown in the history of the NFL with a history of throwing interceptions in critical moments. The game played out as expected. The teams were who they were. The Vikings even got their rematch to open the regular season with virtually the same rosters on both sides, and they lost again.

The Vikings were a bad matchup since their interior line could get penetration and affect a short Brees. The Saints may have played it's worse game of the season in that matchup but thankfully the defense came thru by forcing turnovers because otherwise Peyton would have gotten his second ring and that would have been a travesty. He would have shredded the Vikings secondary.

The Giants are one of the best December teams in the league (as are the Panthers). They have gone...6-3 since 2014.

Here it is the perfect situation for a Panther loss.

They are on the road.
They are without their stud back.
They are in the playoffs.
The Giants must win them all if they plan on making the playoffs.

Perfect 'spot" for a Giants win.

If the Giants do win, it means absolutely nothing. If the Panthers had to have this game and Stewart wa playing they win it, and they still might.

You conveniently leave out how the Vikings got good field position thanks to Bush muffing a punt. If Bush doesn't muff the punt, the Vikings never got a chance to fumble it away in the first place. Plus, the Saints forced two other fumbles on Peterson which could have easily been recovered but weren't. The other fumbles were forced as well. The fact is, the Saints played their worst offensive game of the season and the Vikings couldn't take advantage of it. They deserved to lose that game. Either way, their secondary would have gotten thrashed by Peyton.
