View Full Version : Warriors: 33 Game Win Streak in Jeopardy?
The only real challenge to the Warriors in the next 11 games is the Cavs and unless they right the ship soon, not even them. Do you think the Warriors have a legit shot at the 33 game streak posted by the Lakers?

They have a good chance but every team is gunning to be the team that ends their streak. A couple of them have come close and I think they have to have at least one game where their shots don't fall......right?? :lol

Yes, definitely. If they win tonight they surpass it imo.

probably lose to Indiana tonight who are surprisingly playing well. the warriors have been sloppy lately, wont shock me if they drop 1-2 games in December.

That's still a stretch to project twelve more wins in a row no matter how well they have been playing.

They should just drop this game, not worth the effort. It's on the road against a decent team and they have a comfortable hold on first seed.

Crazy how the Spurs are the only team remotely close to them at 4 games back. Third seed is a whopping 9 games back. :wow

Yes. They prob won't get it, but they definitely have a realistic shot at it. And I hope they do get it, tbh.

And it's not even Christmas.

Young guys with assistant coach, they aren't dropping shit.

I'm torn on this though, because they can drop 40 in a quarter at the drop of a hat, wouldn't bat an eye at a 20pt deficit, while Indy would probably give up if the Warriors were up by 20.
I think they lose to the Pacers tonight, but if they win tonight, their next game against the Celtics might be a test. Realistically though, if they beat the Pacers, they don't have another true test until the Cavs, where they'll be 29-0. I fully expect them to win that game. Then after Cavs and Sac they'll be sitting on 31-0 heading into a tough road b2b Dallas (http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/member.php?u=42737) and Houston. They could drop one of those.
The fact that we're trying to find a loss in their first 33 games is pretty incredible.

itll be hilarious if they do get it and not win the ship
the pressure to win it all will be even bigger which will be too much for them, hopefully

If it worked like that the Spurs would finish 77-5 with four losses to the Warriors and maybe one to Cleveland. Golden State is going to have nights where they don't show up, someone twists an ankle, the other team plays lights out, etc. Now a championship team like Golden State will still win some of those games (like that Clippers game on TNT), but it's crazy to expect them to win all of those. There are still way too many games to mark them as likely to surpass 33.

Keep in mind that to formally surpass the 33 games they *only* need to win 8 more games in a row. They won their last 4 games of the 2014-2015 season so those are carrying over to this season. Game 7 is that first game with the Cavs so I don't think they'll get to 33. I think tonight is a close game and Indy doesn't choke it away like some other teams have.

Every team they play will play them like it is the NBA finals. People need to chill on this winning streak and the Bulls record. The Bulls were 40-3 after 43.. Long way to go..

A team that is the poor man's version of the Warriors & devoid of any inside presence isn't going to have a chance.:lol

The NBA actually recognizes two separate records, one within the season and one carry-over between regular seasons.

They are gonna win 50 in a row. They are just amazing
It's going to take an injury to one of the Splash Brothers or a super hot outside shooting team that just burys them by 40 in by the 3rd to make the streak go away.
The 2nd option, and this is close to 1st, is that they get to comfortable and cannot stop the bleeding once the opponent begins back down with jacks and timbers.
