Dec 14 vs Utah: Jazz on B2B and without injured center Gobert...Our frontline and penetrators (Parker, Simmons) should go at it inside..

Dec 16 vs Washington: Wizards will be without our killer Bradley Beal..they should get our attention after what happened in first meeting

Dec 18 vs Clippers: time to avenge one of the worst played Spurs series in recent times..In retrospect, losing to those mental midgets looks worse.. they have improved a bit last games but still scraping past average teams..

Dec 21 vs Pacers: Paul George has cooled off in the past five games shooting-wise and as result they have gone 1-4 in that stretch..Him and C.J. Miles (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2778/c.j.-miles) will up against the best defense in the league at denying the 3 ball on which they have thrived this season.

We have played far better at home this season and i think 4-0 considering the above circumstances isn't big ask..let's make it 16-0 and keep a bit of pressure on the Warriors..

Agreed. Throw in @ Timberwolves on the 23rd, too . . . and then the inevitable offensive slog (Christmas, on the road, against a plus .500 team, due to play better) that results in a loss.

Any team with Monta Ellis has a good shot at beating the Spurs tbh.

Spurs will prolly lose that game at Minny. Young athletic team with players that love to go off on the Spurs (KMart, Rubio, etc). Think they'll win against Houston tho.

Yeah I think our next loss will be against Houston on Christmas, and even though we'd be 25-6 if that ends up being the case, I expect there to be full meltdowns here :lol

Wouldn't surprise me at all if we lost to the Clippers though. CP3 hasn't looked impressive all season, but I'm sure he'll go back to looking like the best PG in the league when he plays us.

Same, the last few years we've had some real shit fests against the Rockets.

No easy four games, but given our home record so far I agree ... my pre-season prediction says 4-0 as well

That's not all that easy of a home stand, tbh. 3-1 is the most likely outcome.

I would trade two Ls vs Indiana/Washington for a 40 beat-down of the Clippers, tbh...I just want our guys to have a redemption game for last season awful series..

Getting way ahead of myself here, but I'm cracked out on coffee and putting off studying for finals so extending things and looking at the schedule over the next month...

Washington (they won't have Beal)
LAC
Indiana (their offense is pretty dependent on PG, and he'll have Kawhi on him)
@Minnesota
Denver (b2b)
Minnesota
Phoenix
Houston
@Milwaukee
Utah (Gobert might still be out)
New York
@Brooklyn
(http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/member.php?u=3776)@Pistons (b2b)
Cleveland (will be their 5th road game of a 6-game road trip)

Let's say we lose to the Clippers, lose the Christmas game in Houston (this will probably happen because we're the Spurs), lose to Cleveland, and then lose one other random game somewhere in there. We could certainly win some of those games, but for the sake of this let's just assume we don't. That would put us at 31-9 over the first 40 games. Pretty damn solid, especially considering I expected us to start off slow trying to get Aldridge integrated :toast

That's the point ..although i don't think we'll lose all big games..but we need the pad the record before the schedule makes a tough turn in the second part of January..I would like to put more distance between us and the Thunder in case an injury befalls us late (you know Kawhi out of couple of weeks for some nagging stuff could be see us go 2-4 ..etc..)..Looking at how things turned out early , i would be tad disappointed i we miss on top 2 seed in the West (+ HC over potential meeting with Cavs)..

Job done :tu this team hasn't messed up a lot this season..i would argue only the Pelicans/Toronto are the two games we didn't show up to..

Having said that,we need to step up our D again as we head for road games..last 3 games have left a lot to be desired..

We won by 19,8,and 14 points, pretty much right on our season differential, and against better comp. Perhaps our expectations are too high?
