I would really like JVG to lose his announcing gig, but no one will hire him as a coach, so we get stuck with him
shitty win, but better than a loss tbh

Like I just said, happens when the ball is going to other options. Parker and Aldridge were hot.
They were but the fact remains, he struggles against this team and it's not about Barnes guarding him this time. Oh well, we won anyways thanks to TP, LMA and clutch bench play.

Ehh. The Pels loss was definitely ugly. A few 3 point losses to mid-table playoff teams isn't the worst thing. Obviously the Spurs can do better, but all things considered holding on to a stellar defense and sitting at 23-5 is pretty great all things considered. Come February they should be rolling.

yeah but how far are we going to be behind the Dubs by then. Spurs are only 2-31 (6%) at winning championships when we don't have the #1 OVERALL seed, while we're 3-0 (100%) at winning championships when we do get that.

Redick/Blake/Paul are as good a trio as anyone has on the offensive end. There isn't much you can do when Redick is spotting up on the strong side corner & Blake/Paul are running a PnR. If teams help from the weakside DeAndre is going to get a lob or a put back dunk. The only gamble is cheating off the wing player & hoping he misses a wide open 3.

OKC isn't scary without a legit 3rd option (Dion Butters:lmao). Westbrook isn't going to pick the defense apart unlike Paul & Ibaka can't score efficiently in the post on switches. Kawhi can take Durant 1-on-1 much better than trying to check Redick/Paul while having to navigate through multiple screens. With the acquisition of LMA no need to trot out Bonner to pull Ibaka away from the rim so it will make Tony life less miserable. Kanter might cause problems for Diaw but it will even out on the other end.:lol

OKC is a legit threat. But we've already proven we can beat them even without TP. They're a two person team. We can stick fucking Bonner in the starting lineup and beat them, not that we ever need to do that again. Clips, on the other hand, their players light up when they see Spurs jerseys. Pop feels forced to overcoach when playing them. Our margin for error is very small against them.

Tim is going to be matchup w/ Adams so that won't be much of an issue in the postseason. If Parker attacked Kanter on the switches during the season opener then the Spurs would have won the game, the current Tony would flambee him like Z-Bo on the switches. Patty will also be going up against another midget in DJ Augustin so he won't get bullied

I don't actually like much of anything that you say. The Warriors are playing great. The Spurs are not going to wear themselves out trying to catch them. If you're a fan as long as you've claimed to be, then you'd know this. You'd know that Pop doesn't roll like that. He's not going to go all out in regular season at 70 win pace. If the Warriors start losing he might, but other than that, you're just wasting your time complaining about chasing their record all the time.
And what are you talking about in regards to having the number 1 overall seed. I'm pretty sure the Spurs were the number 1 overall seed in 2001 and got beat down by the Lakers. That's not a 100% record like you claim. Having the number 1 overall seed doesn't guarantee anything. You still have to work your ass off. It doesn't get any easier having the number 1 seed. You have to work either way.

They need Draymond to play big against teams who have size and inside presence. Tonight he had 21 points but I don't think he can score 20 points consistently in a 7 game series.

MCW really bothered Steph with his size and intensity. He was Bucks' MVP in both games. Bucs really did an amazing work running Worriers' players from the 3pt line. Also noticed that Refs killed Bucks momentum in diff occasions. Tacky fouls, a shady goal interference play, among other things.

I agree. They never seem to miss a shot and I think the reason is that the clippers are just motivated to beat the spurs. Doc Rivers said if they brought the same intensity when they play the spurs they would win more games. They want to prove they have the edge, mental fortitude and toughness to beat the elite. I read postgame that Doc said the players were still upset over that missed kickball non-call by the refs and mentally checked out so their offense was stagnant with Crawford and Rivers forcing shots and Smith air-balling a three. They wouldn't let it go and kept complaining. The one thing the spurs are good at is keeping on an even keel, something the Clippers need to work on. They've got the physical tools, an athletic frontcourt, great pg but all those mental hangups will cost them more games.

I didn't watch that tape, but I did see Kyle play PG for about 2-3 minutes in the 2nd Q of the Lakers game when the tall/long D.Russell was going off. The substitution was made for Patty.
Kyle played some PG against MCW in our Bucks game, but that game was a blow-out, and Pop was in full experiment mode.
You can never guess with Pop. I can't even guess what Pop is going to do with Kyle myself. Simmons has been playing really well, and I guess right now Pop is stuck. Kyle is probably too good for the dleague and yet won't get minutes over J.Simms in real games.

We will probably continue to see Pop go with different guys depending on what he feels the situation calls for.
We are lucky that they can both play.
Right now, considering how a guy like Lance Stephenson played last night, I'll take either (both are better than Lance, higher IQ, not the nutso player kind) so it is a nice problem to have.
Anyways, I am going off-subject.

It was earlier in the game when I said that quote. Don't remember how early, but I think it was at a point in the first half shorty after Luc Mbah a Moute hit a 3 pointer that I originally posted that message, and he's not known for hitting any kind of three point shot - open or not. For some reason when I was going back through the game thread my browser re-posted the same message at the end of the game thread.
