At this point, I rather see Danny start chucking them instead of holding the ball and playing the pick and roll. He might get his rhythm back if he starts chucking but Pop will inevitably yank him out if he does this.

For a lot of this game (and last night's game) the Spurs have been lazy. Not moving without the ball. And when they do, they aren't making hard cuts. That lets the defense hawk their passing lanes, and/or forces the Spurs to make their passes wider. Angles get all fucked up and the offense can't look any way but sloppy.

Kyle struggled this game and he was frustrated with himself at the end. Lost in the trap and his mistakes were a few good shots he had and good defense he kept up for long stretches. He will be up and down and will struggle on occasion like tonight, the less he plays a limited role and starts to figure out what he can and cannot do. You have to put guys in situations and let them figure it out. If the don't lesson learned for another time. I didn't see him post up a single time, I think Pop let him play free and well /gulp make mistakes and he made them.

On the positive side:

Boban along with so many other guys (long list starting with Kawhi/Boris/Tony for a short spurt) were just spectacular. The rest of the guys were solid.

We got the win, that is all that matters.

I like Jokic too actually. He's looked better than Lauvergne when I have watched Denver against us, Boban just did that much of a work out on him though. What I really love is that he runs the floor, squares up on a defender, and gets his position early. And when he sets a screen, he makes sure he gets full body contact instead of letting guys just scrape around him. He works hard, and doesn't take part of any possession off. A lot of guys, when they don't feel like they're involved in the play, just become spectators. Boban is always working. Sometimes he's still not sure where he's supposed to be, and he'll be out trying to screen someone just for the hell of it. But he works his ass off.

He shut down Towns & did a very good job protecting the rim along w/ Tim to the point where the Wolves couldn't score in the paint. He also got the chase down block on Barton after Simmons turned the ball over & Faried didn't do much besides a couple of dunks either(zero offensive rebounds).
