View Full Version : Lakers: Julian or Boban?

Both players are pretty much garbage time players who get occasional key rotation minutes, but I think Boban has impressed far more this year.

Julian:

Boban:

I also think Nance>>>Julian, just like I told Luva.

Discuss.

As much as BOBAN has impressed, still too small a sample size with under 100 min on the season.

Julia seems like a known commodity with his Bonner/t-Rex arms and shitty jumper. If he was in a system that knew how to develop players, he may be able to fix some of his flaws. But with a certain retired rapist having the teams universe revolving around him, there is no hope.

If I had to guess Randle will be traded this summer.

Boban and its not close. Can't teach size.

Boban is rough around the edges. He needs fundamentals drilled into his skull. When he holds his arms up you cannot even see the shot clock, much less the rim, but still he reaches over and fouls a guard. He's getting better but he doesn't realize how big of a presence he is. There should be constant over the top passes that never come back down until he scores. Catch and finish, over and over. Who's going to stop it? How?

Being a European player, his training probably involved a huge emphasis on shooting, despite his size. Consequently, this may have led to less focus on his traditional "center skills" such as you described. On the other hand, he excels at things that traditional American centers lack, like free throw shooting and soft shooting touch generally. He's on the opposite end of the spectrum from, say, Deandre Jordan. If we could take each of their strengths and combine them in a single player, we'd have the perfect center.

If Shaq could've shot 80% from the FT line, he'd score 50 a game.

Julian had an amazing 4-8 game today, though!

Funny thing is, Larry Nance and Bradon Bass went 11-12 combined :lmao

Even when Julian has a decent game, he's still the bitch of the PF rotation.

lol @ people that thought Boban was a scrub. The guy was a top 5 player in Europe and probably better than someone like Splitter ever was.

Whatever bra, he's 27. Plenty of teams had a shot at him, but he would have failed in probably 90% of NBA systems. Spurs bring him in, he looks like a RoY if he could just get some fucking minutes :lol

At least he's here for it and admits how bad their talent is. You still got Naruto, Kool, and co calling for the 6th seed and hyping some of these scrubs up as future HOFers.

Except he's not really here. He fucked up and now he's in his bouncy house trying to come up with a deflection for Boban>Julia

It might be days before we see him/it again.

Doesn't help y'all ride him more than the other Laker rejects. Then again, most of them have been reduced to a shit stain on the carpet by this point.

lolwut? Dale gets a free pass around this place, there are only a few of us courageous enough to confront his constant bullshit and your casual poster, who doesn't understand his years of Post-Pau faggotry, licks his hemis constantly.

You are right about the rest of LN on this board. They are decimated. Haven't been this irrelevant since Pau dropped Kobe's hand and took his talents to Chigago.

The only post-Magic Laker player Cub unconditionally sides is Kirbs, and maybe Fisher. I've been trying to get Cub to forsake Kirbs for years. Impossible. That said, he'll gladly shit on other Lakers, even the greatest Laker of the past 5 years: MVPau.

Pau couldn't even win a single playoff game till Kobe held his hand. Then he sold D'Antoni out. Now he's flailing about in Chicago.

He's weak.
