Last night I kept checking the score on mavs vs warriors and couldn't stop smiling. Hopefully Houston can punch them again straight in the mouth and humble down mr. Mouthpiece

Thompson crapped the bed without Curry taking the heat off him. Now, especially if Curry doesn't play again,
we'll see how Thompson's self-proclamation of being the best SG in the league works out when he plays Harden who I'm sure is very motivated.

Well, they were missing Curry AND Barnes on the road against a playoff team so it didn't mean anything. Standings-wise, though, yeah it's great for us. 1.5 games back now and could be down to 1 after tonight.

You do realize that Curry didn't play right? Along with no Barnes or Ezeli

They're Curry and the Curry-teers. Still a lot of talent on that team, but not enough to take down good playoff teams consistently.

Glad they lost and we gained ground on them in the western conference standings but not putting to much stock in a Golden State loss when they are missing some of their players including Curry.

It does help demonstrate that the Warriors aren't good enough to beat you if you can limit Curry. Missing an MVP or not, a reportedly all-time great roster should not look that pathetic. Either they're overrated or Walton is.

Houston, as crappy as they are, has a great chance of winning tonight. No Curry = chance.

There was a game earlier this year where Curry had only 16 but Thompson erupted for around 40 and won by double-digits on the road so limiting Curry isn't a guaranteed win. Maybe for us, it could be, though.

The key to beating the Warriors is limit the production of either Curry or Green. The offense flows through both these players. Klay Thompson can be limited by not allowing to get the ball in comfortable spots.

I was smiling because it made our point differential higher than Golden State's. :lol

4 games back in the loss column is what matters. I think the only way the Spurs have a chance to catch GSW is by injuries or sweeping them. The schedule is about to get a quite a bit tougher. From Jan. 14th to Jan 30th alone, the Spurs play: Cavs (2 times), Mavs, GSW, & Houston. March & April are brutal as well. :ihit:ihit No injures for the Silver & Black would be huge!
Spurs need to give Curry the Amare treatment. Play him straight up and let him go for 50, shut everyone else off. Sure hell win you a game or two, but over a seven game series he'll be worn out trying to carry that load and everyone else will be outta rhythm.
Easier said than done, but can be done.

Only because I have found myself paying attention the point differential column in the standings. When people were lauding the Warriors, they made a big deal how this stat shows true dominance so I was quite pleased when we passed them for the top of it. If nothing else to hush the talking heads comments about how it is the Dubs and then everyone else. Now I get a little peeved when the third string lets a 30 point lead drop to 18. I thought we would never catch the Warriors in this stat after they massacred the Grizz by 50 until we did the same to the 6ers. Blowouts are good because they allow Pop to rest players without them missing entire games.

Watching the Dubs and Rockets now and Houston briefly tried hack a Bogut. He made 1-4 fts but couldn't convert at the other end so they stopped. Would Pop resort to this against the Dubs?
