KL will not win MVP. Just stop thinking about it.

I feel a little at odds with this, on one hand statistically Leonard belongs in the conversation, but Curry has lead the Warriors to a championship on top of winning countless games for the Warriors this season where they shouldn't have won and the Warriors have the best record in the league.

Kawhi needs a few game winners, avg 22ppg+ and the Spurs need to have the best record in order for Kawhi to win MVP.

I think only if Curry misses 2-3 months will they consider anyone outside of him ...

If curry misses enough time, they could very well give it to Draymond Green anyway.

Yeah, I was thinking about this too. If Curry's cool off has been real and he continues to miss games it could happen. If Curry misses 15+ games, which in turn makes the Spurs pass them in the standings, and Kawhi keeps playing like he is it could happen. It's definitely a real possibility.

Kawhi is on target to win DPY again although I note Whiteside at Heat having a nice year. KL also on target for NBA first team. MVP next season.

If he misses 20 games total and the spurs end up with the best record.

Draymond Green would win MVP before KL this year

Curry has the MVP award locked down already. Though it has been nice to see some NBA writers recognizing the team and KL's performance so far this season. Curry is going to get back to back MVPs ala Nash.

The league landscape could look different by the time the RRT comes around. There are some scenarios like RW going down and the Thunder going 20 in a row with KD, or Lebron going off for consecutive 50pt games, or ... well that's about it. For Kawhi, LMA made his life easier and less fruitful at the same time. You have to be Lebron level to get MVP with the best free agent signing in the off season, especially with how LMA is doing compared to the rest of the team.

If overall 82 games record = Spurs > GSW, Kawhi = MVP

If overall 82 games record = GSW > Spurs, Curry = MVP

If overall 82 games record = GSW(with Curry out indefinitely) > Spurs, Draymond Green = MVP

I just want him to finish ahead of Durant so we can see KD flip out on Twitter again.

Draymond is fucking amazing this year. He's having the forgotten season, and Curry's reaping all the glory for it.
