Why?
Dolphins can move up 2 spots in the draft selection, incentive to lose.

Have Cheatriots failed to make payments for this game, why are you worried?

our offensive line is down to scrub fullbacks and our whole wr rotation is made of lolfell and keyshawn martin the guy houston dumped midseason... D is also pretty banged up with both starting safeties out, and so on.. It takes an effort to lose against such a team and the dolphins have suh.

Steelers will win, and the Jets will lose today. No way the playoffs leave a team like Pittsburgh out. That is bad for business especially on the AFC side.

True but they took the Jets to OT last week.
If not for the rigged coin toss being botched by team captain, Pats would have had ball 1st.
Jets >>> Dolphins so....?

I mean I know it's to a lesser extent the old On Any Sunday but, I don't see the Fish having much motivation.

well for the playoffs yes, but not today. Solder, Aaron Dobson and Dominique Easley are the big IR guys. Other than that, Wendell and of course the running backs. Most of the other guys will come back for the playoffs, but I'm worried about potential injuries behind a patchwork line.

well it's not going to be the same team. No RT, no FS, SS, backup safety, still no receivers and Gronk is likely to be used with kid gloves.

While Pats most likely need to win to secure 1st, I salute them if save truly banged up/at high risk players for the playoffs.
On that note, maybe we can do a "How many #1 seeds have won the Super Bowl the last 10 years" thread.

Seems like when I ran these stats before, it was low % of #1s that Bowled.

They've always played New England extremely tough in Miami (pretty sure it's one of the few stadiums where Brady has a career losing record), plus they have an interim coach who's trying to get a permanent job.

The Jets game would have also been a blowout if not for the fumble-6 that kept New England alive.

well you can argue edelman, other than that amendola and chandler have been eased in slowly and hightower and jones are not really injured much. vollmer i think he should be fine but we'll see. In any case, given our opponents are an awful pittsburgh team, an alex smith led team, a team with an injured dalton and a starting peyton manning that hasn't thrown over 3 yards the whole season, we're still by far the best bet to be in the superbowl. granted, it hasn't been pretty, but the overwhelming start allowed us to take it is.

Belichick/Brady lost to the Dolphins in week 16 two years ago and forfeited the 1 seed by doing so, and they also lost their game @ Miami last year. Brady has always performed horribly @ Miami, it's been that way since the Jason Taylor days, and that definitely wasn't going to change when most of his offense was injured.

I think people are forgetting how good the offense looked before Edelman's injury vs. how it looks now. If he's ready to go by the divisional round, I'm pretty confident they'll advance, however I don't like their odds in a game @ Denver.

The Steelers offense was "scary good" last season heading into the playoffs, and they got their shit pushed in by the Ravens 30-17 (only 1 offensive touchdown). They were never going to play Seattle. If they won, they would play Minnesota at home, again. They just suck, and should be the underdog against the Redskins as well.

Eh, they win at DC they go play the Cats as opposed to having to go play AZ who pushed their shit in a week ago.

Oh I agree relatively speaking it's the easier bracket. I'm just saying GB is the worst team in the NFC playoffs so it's probably irrelevant.

:lol the Redskins are easily the worst. I know Green Bay has looked shitty the past few games but they still have the best QB in the league on their roster (even if he hasn't been playing like it lately).

Not a much better season, but I know you're being an imbecile on purpose.

Still, arguably the worst season of Rodgers' career, definitely since 2008.
