I pledge allegiance to the Chinese-made flag and to the Republicans for which it stands, one nation under a Christian God, hopelessly divided, with limited liberty and delayed justice for all.

That's a little excessive, but we are hopelessly divided. Since the time of Ceasar, rulers have been using the same tactics for subduing nations: divide and conquer. Britain did it to India. Can you honestly say this nation is united? I can't.

I agree, but your question can be answered "It depends." Those who disagree on many aspects of life/liberty/pursuit of happiness/politics in one arena may agree in others.

I would say that, for all of our differences, we are united. We should agree to disagree. Do you know how many countries will not/cannot do that?
