And that is why I have no respect for your football knowledge. Seattle is one busted coverage away from beating you guy 5 games in a row, and you'd want to play them....... again. Dude....hahahaha!!!!!!!

It's all about match-ups, as you say.

Seattle and Carolina always play close and it's typically a close game, with hard-hitting and defense. Whoever has the least turnovers usually win. Carolina is +40 in TO differential... but far the best in the NFL. I like our chances.

Against GB, we have Tillman and Benwikere (great young player) out, and are going to have to rely on Robert McClain and Cortland Finnegan to cover. They have been okay, but against Rodgers, someone we have played against at home already, could exploit that.

Seattle has played us a few times now, but they will be playing in Carolina for the first time this year... I like our front seven against Wilson more than I do our DB's against GB. Besides, Norman will probably shut down Baldwin.

Seattle is the better team and more dangerous, but we match up well with them.

In 2015 RW is throwing the ball better than Aaron Rodgers is, and those Seahawks receiver have more zip than the Packers without Nelson. And while Rodgers can scramble around he's not the "runner" that Wilson is and that Seattle D is FAR superior to the Packers D. And the Seahawks are used to playing the Panthers.

Makes no sense to want to play a team you lose to 4 out of 5 times.

Really confident in the Skins beating the Packers. Think the Packers are going to come out strong! If we are leading or in striking distance within the first half, I like our chances. We have some postseason experience on this team, so not worried about that.

The usual suspects, Burr & Pac,,,did it to themselves.

lmao!!!

The Steeler linemen ruffed Burfect up a few plays and it worked.

Thats all on the Bengal coaches, they don't prepare the players knowing this? They knew BEFORE the game they Steelers were going to test them. It began pregame with Tomlin.

I'm not recording the game. Based on the replays for what actions was Pacman called for? :downspin:

Pretty sure he was flagged for "shoving" a ref when he barely grazed the ref.

You notice how, after years referring to him as "Adam Jones", he made that mistake and the announcers immediately revert back to calling him Pacman :lmao

You know what that is, Will? That is institutional racism. Now that they called him "niqqer/Pacman"---and the Bengals lost because of them,,,Media will back off and tiptoe away from the catastrophe.

Can someone tell me, why the Steelers didn't use up the remaining few seconds (17 or so) prior to the FG by kneeling+spiking?

Even made a conventional kickoff, as if they wanted to give Cincy another chance.

You never know when that kind of field condition/rain that if the snap was fumbled, they could still recover, line up, spike it and try again on 3rd down coming. It was the correct call.

On the conventional kickoff you'd want to get it as far away from your goal as you can at default. Also a short, or ground kick gives the receiving team a chance at the lateral offense. A deep kick only permits them to pass it long to the sides, that is much easier to combat.

Time was called due to penalties I believe. So I'm thinking it would have been difficult to use up time with a spike. Also, If you get a bad snap you would might have time for a quick spike and retry.

Im thinkin...

Steelers had zero timeouts of course.

Ultimately the buck stops with the coach. Unfortunately for him, the timing of the two penalties was catastrophic.

Absolutely.

The history of Steeler wins and then knowing the temperament of various Bengals. The Steeler linemen totally baited Burfect and they got lucky it paid off. I give Tomlin credit. He took advantage of what he thought might be an undisciplined team. It started before the game and Tomlin pointed and yelled at various Bengals during the game. Especially when Tomlin got close enough when the sidelines came on the field.

Tomlin pointed at least 3 times I saw. I don't know which players he pointed at. The all pro lineman for the Steelers pancaked Burfect twice and laid on him twice and let Burfect basically turn him over and get on top of him. There is no question in my mind the Steelers knew the hotheads and baited them. A lot of talking as well. They even got to the Cincy RB that fumbled.

I bet the Steeler coaches had a list of who to antagonize. The game got totally random and it payed off. Good planning. Especially helpful after Ben R went down.

I don't foresee anyone putting any blame on the Steelers. Not with the images of cheering fans throwing bottles at a carted off Big Ben. The NFL knows how their bread gets buttered.

Not too mention taking out a marquee receiver.

It just seems odd to me that only Pittsburgh has defenseless receivers. Shazier's hit was the textbook definition of spearing, as well as helmet-to-helmet. The Bengals got penalized for targeting in the first half after the receiver took two steps. Worst officials in sports, tbh.

No composure whatsoever from the Bengals.

They fumbled and then just absurd reactions for that time in the game. The refs had already thrown laundry covering the field and almost had bench clearing brawls. Props to Tomlin for baiting and having his team bait a group that had no composure. It paid off. Munchack grabbing dreads on the sidelines...

Steelers were the better team anyway. Congrats for knowing your opponent so well.

Definitely led with his helmet. I don't know how Shazier was supposed to know where the receiver's head was going to be in real time though. I think it should have been called but I can also see why it was not.

And the one they threw a flag for at the end of the second quarter was the exact same play, though not nearly as blatant. The defender led with his shoulder but their helmets happened to make contact. I don't give a shit about either of those teams but the Bengals got fucking jobbed.
