WorriersWorld meltdown is epic:
I fucking hate losing games like this when you have healthy players getting rested. Its the fucking NBA. People pay huge amount of dough to watch these games. No way should guys be getting "rest". We are not fucking San Antonio. Our players can rest in off season or on off days. Not too mention when you have the chance to do something historic as far as winning the most games in NBA history
Fuck you steph. Piss me off more. Where the fuck was this aggressiveness before steph? U let ur team Down tonite
This is a game we should not have lost. Play your best guys and its a win. I want Kerr back now! This is a Luke Walton and Draymond Green loss
8 turnovers by Curry so far....And he thinks he's the best player in the World
Man tough loss, it hurts. More when San Antonio stays winning
That is the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen in my life, Steph. Definitely not an MVP behavior
I want 75 wins....And this loss fucking hurts
Dray is the real MVP; also leads the team in assists....
Wow Klay wanted to be a hero so bad, fucking retarded fuck
I just hate losing games when you hold out your best players. You have a chance to make NBA history this year. Being known as the best team in NBA history is huge
Please Kerr, comeback soon. Save us from Luke!

You have to admire fans who bail on their heroes when they lose their third game midway through the season. "We're from Oakland, dammit, and we demand perfection."
When they finally move to San Francisco, those fans will give them a trophy whether they win or lose, to help their self-esteem.

The Pistons pretty much laid out the foundation on how to beat GSW. Slow the tempo down, let Curry/Klay get theirs, but limit everybody else, attack Curry and Raymond. Awesome game plan from SVG, tbh.

That too. Meanwhile, Drummond absolutely destroyed Green in their matchup. I honestly think the Warriors are running Raymond to the ground. He's basically giving up 20 to 30 lbs. a night against most centers in the league while anchoring GSW's defense. Parker would have a field day because GSW has zero rim protection.

That's probably why Kerr only played the super small lineup for like 6 or 7 minutes a game. Walton's going overboard with it.

Many of the Pistons were utilizing verticality like Mozgov in the finals. Dray has no in-between game so it's particularly effective against him.

Yea i dont understand teams overhelping on green when curry gives him the escape pass. Let green finish over you instead of giving up the lob or an open 3

Playing microball might be effective against most teams, but against teams with legit post threat such as the Spurs and Pistons, the Dubs are going to get killed. They will have to eventually use Bogut at the 5 for long stretches. If the Spurs force the Dubs to use Bogut at the 5 for long stretches in a series, there's no way they're winning it. The only way GSW could beat the Spurs in a series is for them to have a ton of success with Raymond at the 5 and if Curry shoots lights out.
I wish I had been able to see this game, to see what the hell happened. Looks like Curry shot well, Klay shot OK, and everyone else pretty much shot like shit. Two guys scored basically twice as much as the rest of their team together.
I heard Curry hurt himself on a dunk? I'm not wishing anyone any harm, but maybe he should worry less about making the highlight reels.

This. The Dubs win by being the exemplary small ball team. Most teams can't counter, but superior post threats require them to alter their lineup or lose out on the paint. Draymond, against us, won't be able to cover both Duncan and LMA.

Pistons looked good. Kentavious was great on both ends. Morris and ilyasova looked good on offense.
Drummond beasted.
Warriors are overhyped. Refs let them get away with murder on on picks to clear curry for open looks normally. Called a few against the warriors and draymond started pouting like a bitch and got a t.
Barnes looked like dog shit. Morris made him his bitch on numwrous occassions.
Spurs are a better team than the warriors imo. Been watching only spurs and warriors games for the last few weeks and it seems obvious to me.

I only watched the second half; but I'd say one important element is not allowing wide open threes. It's important to not let Clay/Curry have set threes. If they make shots in motion and at least slightly off-balance, you live with that.

Im done with this SHIT. Fuck Luke mama's boy Walton seriously. Just burn the shit out of your starters and leave Clark/Rush on the bench. I’m gonna go watch the Cardinals.
Send Walton to the LOLakers. Now. Don't wait till next year
Our announcers being incredibly, incredibly obnoxious STFU!
Luke's inability to pull the cold hands keeps dooming the team
What is the latest on Kerr? I thought he was supposed to be back by now. Is he waiting for the Jan 25 game vs Spurs? That would be fucking lame.
For the record, Dubs are gonna win this one
Hello, San Antonio. i'm afraid we got exposed tonight
FUCK YOU Luke Walton! You're wearing the starters out! Zero subs! NO gas!
this team has zero composure under Walton
FUCK U LUKE! U HAVE OFFICIALLY TRASHED THIS TEAM.
WHY THE FUCK ARE STARTERS IN NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! are you fucking serious Walton you bloody idiot
God dammit! We're fucking guaranteed of one thing on Monday and it's gonna be SAD one. ESPN NBA Power Rankings
1. San Antonio
2. Golden State
HUGE LOSS!
This team is in great danger. We aren't not looking like last year. I believe it comes from the pressure the Spurs are putting on them. Psychologically.
Half our players don’t look right out there, AND we keep playing them heavy minutes. AND bunch of you still chasing records. FUCK the records. FUCK the Bulls. Hopefully this doesn’t cascade into even more injuries. I'm OUT.
Walton has reverted to Mark Jackson's days, he's burning out Klay, Steph, and Dray and then get stuck having to play all the bench guys together for 4-5 mins of game action. Just pathetic.
So much for this arrogantz shit. Are we expecting teams kneeling to us just by just showing up at the court? Forget about that Stevie Wonder deserving that 20/20 vision thing that I wrote some time ago. This team needs to pick up its shit NOW
Detroit just beat the best team in the NBA. When they play the Spurs? It should be easy to beat the 3rd best.
Steph and Klay combined for 62 of our 95 points, a trend, as of late! So, what is our problem? The Spurs' perimeter defense is our fucking problem.

I've said numerous times & I'll say it again, Draymond is the BIGGEST hack in the league but he doesn't get called for it just like Garnett setting illegal picks for the past 2 decades.:lol

WorriersWorld can't whitstand much more trolling than that tbh. I've been banned 4 times already. Last time wasn't even talking about BBall. I just said they were so ashamed about their Oakland roots to the point that their Logo showed the freacking San Fran Bridge and wanted no part of the Oakland name in their franchise. Yeah, he's had all kinds of weird issues because of it. He had to have a second surgery to fix the problem, and it took about a month of symptoms before they figured out what it was. There's talk that he could come back as early as this week, so hopefully he'll be back soon.

I agree with you completely. Them going up on 30 points on the CAVS!!! b4 the half. They are killing them in transition. Cavs are also all discombabolated going all iso. Lebron is not as dominant as he used to be, I think his best years are starting to be behind him.
For us, if we don't defend in transition, it will be over quick. I have my doubts with our slowest lineups.
By the way, we do need Tony, whoever is denying that is lying to themselves.
We do need Tony but I'm worried he'll get caught up in a dick-measuring contest with Curry and he might get tempted to do that to our detriment. I mean, do we really want our starters to get in a track meet with them? I'm not as worried about how we'd do defensively, though.

I am sure whatever he does, is Pop sanctioned. He has to make Curry work on defense and he did a terrific job on Kyrie. No way we win that game without Tony. We do have other guys that have to get their due... just saying if Tony is still nursing that buttcheek, its no contest.

The Cavs have looked so dysfunctional the past two games. They're not running sets, lack of energy, teammates don't seem like they want to be playing together... Maybe a trade would benefit them.
I also don't get the Kevin love thing. I know James wanted a big who could space, like Bosh, but loves best assesst used to be rebounding. Now he's never near the rim, and sure doesn't know how to play defense.. :lol

They freakin' banned dunking altogether for a few years because of Kareem's dominance in college (the Lew Alcindor rule.) Had to widen the lane because of George Mikan.
Maybe we should move the 3 point line back 5' because of Curry and GS. Talk about spreading the floor, you'd have to widen the entire court! :lol

Even with all the screens the opposing team has to run through, Curry can still hit threes 5' behind the three point line and with a defender in his face. Spurs will have to play really physical with him. If you watch them closely, curry hates when people hold on to him, he doesn't like the physicality (who does?) but he really hates it.

GSW just dominated.
Cavs offense was just broken.
GSW kept chucking 3 point attempts even when covered and they were going in. The lanes were all wide open for layups.
So their game plan is just simple, we'll chuck those 3 point attempts and good luck if you can keep up. The only way the Spurs can win is if they can make it uncomfortable for GSW to take 3 point attempts. Unfortunately, it is like this team focuses a lot of effort on that attempt which is in contrast with the Spurs that spreads the offense with an inside game and an outside game.
Spurs however are dead if they shoot only 18 3's a game.

Dude, the Spurs don't have the likes of Smith and Love on their teams. Horrible Defensive players. Like someone posted, Parker is 15th/16th in the league in defensive efficiency and HE IS DEAD LAST ON THE SPURS.
This year's team is just freakin ridiculous on D. Probably the best defensive team the Spurs have ever had and rivaling the Pistons of the 03-05 seasons. Even Rip Hamilton commented that the Spurs are playing some of the best D he has ever seen.
Look at Green (GSW) against guys like Griffin, Davis, Cousins, Ibaka, etc. These guys score all over him. Green is not a great one-on-one defender, kinda of like Ibaka. LMA should be able to score at will against him, especially if he plays like he has against the Mavs and Piston.
Add Green shadowing Klay on the wings and Kawhi harassing Curry, really, its GS who has their work cut out.
I seriously am not scare of GS. I am more worried about OKC and even the Clips as both matchup better against the Spurs.

...Spurs however are dead if they shoot only 18 3's a game.
What does that has to do with winning/losing a game/series?

First you wonder why they changed their starting lineup and inserted a 7-footer in place of an undersized PF and then you claim GS won't score in the paint against 7-footers? Confused...
As for the 2 7-footers you're talking about, I don't see how they'll keep up with GS's PnR offense. We'll see how long the Spurs will survive playing Duncan and Aldridge together on monday.
Thompson is a better defender than Mozgov, and it ain't even close. Lol at not comprehending the difference defensively between Mozgov/Love to Duncan/Aldridge.
You may have a point, but let's not act like Green is Ryan Anderson Lite. Spurs just have to close out on shooters which they've done an excellent job so far.
We'll see how long Spurs can survive? No. More like we'll see how good that midget Raymond can hold up against an actual post presence.

Jesus. After handling these clowns 6 out of the last 7 games, never losing a regular season home game to them since the 90's, having the DPOY, a legit post presence, a better bench, penetrating guards that will expose their lack of rim protection, and playing some of the best defense in league history..... Some of you act like pussies.
Spurs OWN the Worriers. No other way to spin it. The question is how try hard will Pop go next week, he's known for never blowing his full load against a fellow contender.

The PnR defense is the biggest thing when playing the Warriors. Kevin love looked ridiculous yesterday playing the pick and role defense with the guard getting caught trying to trap leaving an elite passer in green a wide open lane. All the shots they got yesterday were so wide open. Spurs will not let down like that especially playing the PnR with curry and d green. I just think this summarizes what everyone pretty much expected, the Spurs vs warriors will be a dream for basketball fans with winner being the odds on favorite to win the title. I'd love to see diaw, LMA, and west back down green every single time in the post. Monday's game will be interesting. I'd also like to see how the Bulls play them tomorrow.

Kevin Love is/was a fiasco, there is no other way around media created a star and it was total bull at least in Minny he used to score now he looks like a role player, it was a bet and they though it was safe to trade Wiggins for this clown.

I still maintain that the Spurs' best bet isn't playing Duncan/Aldridge together many minutes. We'd get killed in the PnR with those two out there.
I think Diaw/Aldridge should be the most prominent pairing we'd see in a series against GS. Kawhi/Diaw/Aldridge frontcourt still has plenty of size to overwhelm their small ball, but it's also mobile enough to not get exploited in the PnR. If GS goes with their best lineup (Curry/Klay/Iggy/Barnes/Green), we'd still get mismatches. No way in hell can Barnes check Diaw, and Aldridge has 4 inches of height on Draymond. On the other end, they're still quick enough to not get completely burned.
I love Timmy but I can't see us winning a series against GS with him playing 30+ mpg. Aldridge and Diaw should both be getting more minutes than him.

Agree, play Timmy with bogut or Ezeli out there. I don't know if warriors will have to much respect for Spurs D to trot out small ball lineup. Let's say they try doing it on Monday and our bigs get the best of the lineup, does anyone think they'd go small again in the next meeting or playoffs?

Gasol will kill them, but may not be enough, the lack of ball movement in the final minutes (iso Rose / iso Butler) is the major problem of the Bulls

Watching love defend last night reminded me of bargnani. They looked awful. It's like they were trying to defend everything and failed miserably. The spurs will pick their poison. I liked what Detroit did letting klay and Stephen go off but we usually try to defend the head of the snake right? So I'd imagine we try to limit Stephen and live with the team coming up with the points namely green.

GM Lebron should have kept Wiggins or gotten better trade value.
Dude, Kevin Love is an awesome post player. He's hard as fuck to defend in the paint. The only thing he's better at than post-ups is rebounding. The person who said, "Hey, let's camp him 25 feet from the basket" is an idiot.

Well I do hope that Spurs are GS Kryptonite.
Those Cavs were pathetic, after being insulted by Curry with the "still smells like Champagne" comment, they go out and get embarrassed on the their home court.
I'm sorry, but the Cavs have pretty much thrown in the towel for this season. They are done.
I agree with you ceperez. They made a mockery of themselves and Lebron looked like he checked out mentally in the 2nd Q. I didn't even watch more than a few minutes bc it was a boring game.

Meh, hard for any one game sample size to strike much fear. It's basketball - shit happens sometimes. You could just as easily say "If you're still scared of GS after watching the game against the Pistons, you're clueless".
We all (or most of us, at least) know GS, when clicking on all cylinders, is the deadliest team in the league. They have the most prolific shooter in the history of the NBA on their side. That doesn't necessarily mean they're the best team though, and the Spurs are much better suited to slow them down compared to a team like Cleveland.

i agree with everything you said and think our size could pose matchup problems for them but people on this board are really sleeping on this team. When they are firing on all cylinders it's almost unbeatable .

Probably Lebron. He only wanted him for his 3 pt shooting/rebounding... maybe his passing.
He didn't look at whether they really fit. For Love to be a plus, he needs to be scoring. If he's a roleplayer parked at the 3 and who is defending a lot of PnR which is a weakness of his, then he's going to be a minus.
I could have seen Love in Boston. They said they needed a premier scorer and they wanted him badly. They also have assets to trade.

GSW can't be beat if the are making there 3's.
However, if they played like the way they played against the Cavs in the finals and it was against the Spurs, then the Spurs will win.
If it gets nastly like GSW vs Pistons, then the Spurs will win.

agree. The 3 ball gets them going... Not just point wise..... But emotionally. It's like dunking for the clips. We have to be able to play green in that potential series for his defense but if he doesn't learn how to shoot idk how we can win either way.

He is a shit defender, but that's because nobody makes him defend. A player can't fit if you just let him do what he wants. I thought that's what coaches were for. A lot of people shit on Doc Rivers as a coach, but he turned Ray Allen into a pretty good defender and they won a title because of it.

What pumps this guy up? He's getting neglected. He's better than this. Sure he's not that great of a defender but he looked lost out there.
As for Boston, if they somehow got the number one pick do you think they'd trade it for love?lol but seriously though

Look at Kyle Anderson in our team. There is absolutely no excuse to not playing defense unless: (1) you are a low BBIQ player who gets lost on defense bc you don't even know what schemes you are running, (2) you don't care about defense and hustle.

Number one pick no, but from 2 down they probably would. Problem is, Cleveland are in a win now mode and are unlikely to be interested in such a deal, they'll want productive vets in a potential Love deal.
