View Full Version : Fun fact of the day -- worth mentioning because it probably will never happen again

I mentioned it in the GT, but I thought it deserved its own thread because it's a neat little anomaly that is unlikely to ever happen again:

Fun fact of the day:

After tonight, we will have just played the Knicks, Nets, Pistons, and Cavaliers in 4 consecutive games, in that order.

Is that not the same order in which we won the championship against in 1999, 2003, 2005 and 2007?

Good catch. I guess we aren't playing the Heat next.

It's a shame we don't travel to play in Miami tomorrow night...

They're playing Lebron tho, and lost the first time around :depressed...

That guy's post offense will be critical for the win tonight. He always seems to slack off against shit teams and show up in close games against good teams for whatever reason.

We're basically playing the Heat tonight.

Very cool. Amazing catch.

It's a shame the next two aren't against the Heat (LOB #5) and the Bulls (LOB #6).

Spurs beating the Bulls in the Finals would mean a bunch of other fun things had happened before that. It's my fantasy... you keep your reality out of it.

Such a good find. Lol. I don't know if the schedule makers intended for this to happen :) They must be Spurs fans. Lol.

The coincidence will only get harder to repeat as the Spurs keep looking to add championship opponents to their Rolodex

In addition, the four games in question are vs. Knicks, at Nets, at Pistons, vs. Cavs.

The four closeout games in those Finals were at Knicks, vs. Nets, vs. Pistons, at Cavs. A mirror image.
