Take the week off TP and get ready for the Dubs, tbh.

Pop could rest him a week and be ready against the Warriors.

Is this the 3rd time with his hip or just the second?

Right hip again. He should just stick with missionary instead of rifle position with Mrs Brent Barry.

This sore right hip has been a recurring injury. I'm not concerned about it in the short-term, as it seems to be relatively minor. But if it continues to linger, it could be a long-term concern going forward.

More playing time for Simmons, and maybe Patty can find his shot.

Nothing serious. His hip didn't seem to bother him in the 3rd quarter, and didn't hold him back much tonight, he played almost the same minutes than LMA ...It's just Pop being cautious. :tu

Three days off and a layup on Thursday vs Phoenix. He'll be ready to go for Saturday vs the Cavs.

Jeff McDonald thought he be fine by Thursday
It was a blowout no sence in playing him risking further injury

Is this something metaphorical? Not sure that Parker's playing for the Bulls this season.

Second time.

Thanks for the update ducks.

Pop should rest him for a game. Just bc he already had the same issue b4 and he's really been going all out when he's playing lately.

You don't know what metaphorical means, do you? Anyways, he's got a week to rest before the game vs GS.

Since the Bulls'll play Cavs on Saturday I thought you tried to use some metaphor with other injured PG and Parker, DRose season/Parker's good season mentioning the Bulls game. But I expected too much from you, it was just a mistake.

How did he injure his hip?

I read is more of a "soreness" than an injury. There was a play where TP fell hard and slipped all the way to the basket stanchion. Maybe he reaggravated the hip that was bothering him in tha play.

littlecoyotecoin
01-17-2016, 10:29 PM
I'm not sure what hair you're splitting. But, if your hip is sore, it's an injury. Especially if it's from falling down. Only soreness that I would classify as not an injury is muscle fatigue, and that sure doesn't sound like this hip.

But, I'm hoping it wasn't a reaggravation, but just a realization of Pop that we didn't need him anymore, and rest him because he was playing injured to begin with.

If it is hurting, he should rest Suns/Lakers games and that would give him full week until the Dubs game the Monday 25th..

Yeah. Probably.

But, we might be having to move it into the lingering/nagging category:

http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory/aldridge-scores-23-points-spurs-rout-mavs-112-36350246

The Spurs did have some bad news, losing Parker late in the third quarter to right hip soreness. An earlier occurrence of the injury forced him to miss two games at the beginning of the month. San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said Parker's status is unknown.

Could just be rope-a-dope reason for rest, who knows.

Sit him against the Suns (though Knight might impale Mills all night long on high PnR game), but if his health permits, play him against the Lakers to warm up & shake the rust before the showdown in bay area.

Yep. We'll see a lot of this sort of thing this season with Parker. Pop knows he gotta have Parker at full speed to make it out of the West.

Agreed. I would be extra cautious about the Lakers game, 10-15 min max and only if Parker feels really good.
