No. It is not the playoffs but if you are loosing and no body or nothing you are trying works, you do experiment.
The best outcome of this experiment is that Simmons/Anderson need development minutes and they are pushing some guys out.
They were the ones producing a come back and whatever they were doing worked for a while.
He discovered also Boban is not ready for playoff basketball, but that doesn't mean he doesn't get to continue to develop.

But this was not a tank job. The game was already out of hand more or less, when Pop started trying different guys and different things.
