Horny was making peanuts and only guaranteed thru this season. Markieff has a 4/32 in it's first season. They don't want to give that up, they're proud of that deal. Don't be surprised if he's still here AFTER the trade deadline.

That's because everyone is bad at math; nobody can see the lowest common denominator.

Sarver inherited everything good that happened under his time as owner, save for Nash, which happened by accident, since nobody knew they were getting the Nash they got, and he was. Colangelo darling, anyways.

Since his first full offseason it's been one shit show after another shit show.

But he owns the franchise, not just name, and can move the franchise, so nobody says a goddamn thing so stupidity operates with impunity.

Oh I won't. Fuck Robert Sarver and Ryan McDonough. I'm tired of these first year GM's who don't know how to assemble an NBA roster properly. Our GM is nothing more than a head scout flying by the seat of this pants. He lucked out and gave us one good year under his tenure (2013-2014) and the rest has been shit. I don't think Hornacek is blameless but Jesus H Christ, what is McDonough doing with this roster? First he drafts Tyler Ennis and then signs Isaiah Thomas, then we re-up Bledsoe. Then he's confused why Dragic is pissed playing small forward when they told him they were going to hand the guy the reigns to the team? Then we trade away Isaiah Thomas who becomes an all-star this year and take on Brandon Knight and give away that LA pick. I don't think I've watched more than 2 games of this misery this year, they are killing my passion for the NBA.

Hornacek is not a brilliant coach but to lead this terrible roster to tanks like hell, he was quite perfect... not sure what Suns FO want to achieve there but they should surely be the ones fired

Horny isn't that bad of a coach, he's probably in the 3rd quartile of NBA coaches, there are a number worse.

JMarkJohns
02-01-2016, 08:53 AM
I'd put Hornacek in top-half of NBA coaches.

Sure, near bottom of that, but he won 48 games with a roster most said wouldn't win 20, despite significant injuries. He was in competition for the playoffs last year despite heavy roster sabotage and turnover.

This year had trainwreck for a metaphor since July 1.

Colangelo would have kept Joe Johnson and kept their lottery pick in 04, and they would have run the Spurs off the floor in 2007. So without Colangelo they're light at least one. You're in denial about how close they once were to ringing. It's what made the late 2000s all the much sweeter.

SI---with a blistering indictment of all things Phoenix Suns.

[[[How, exactly, did Phoenix get here? The key plot points combine to make a truly disgusting recipe. Owner Robert Sarver allowed Hornacek to enter the season as a lame duck. GM Ryan McDonough fashioned a core comprised of two ball-dominant guards (Eric Bledsoe (http://www.si.com/nba/player/eric-bledsoe) and Brandon Knight (http://www.si.com/nba/player/brandon-knight)) and an aging center (Tyson Chandler (http://www.si.com/nba/player/tyson-chandler)) before burning assets to launch a failed bid for LaMarcus Aldridge (http://www.si.com/nba/player/lamarcus-aldridge). Over the last 12 months, the Suns traded away Isaiah Thomas (http://www.si.com/nba/player/isaiah-thomas) (a 2016 All-Star), Goran Dragic (http://www.si.com/nba/player/goran-dragic) (starting for the East’s No. 4 seed Heat (http://www.si.com/nba/team/miami-heat)), Tyler Ennis (http://www.si.com/college-basketball/player/tyler-ennis) (a 2014 first-round pick) and the Lakers (http://www.si.com/nba/team/los-angeles-lakers)’ prized 2016 first-round pick while also further alienating the perpetually-disgruntled Markieff Morris (http://www.si.com/nba/player/markieff-morris) by trading his twin brother, Marcus, to thePistons (http://www.si.com/nba/team/detroit-pistons).]]]
