I merely wonder how well the Wall defense works without Tim. I would have assumed that it would be less affected than would the D last year, since the Spurs aren't funneling as much. In fact, it's possible that the reason they went with the Wall is that they didn't want to put too much defensive pressure on Duncan. But maybe LMA and West would have an easier time defending if they had a narrowed area of the paint to protect. I certainly think that's helped Tim out these last few years.

Chinook I had forgotten completely about the wall. I was puzzled J.Simms wasn't channeling Irving anywhere, or communicating with LMA on what they were doing. ... I think the wall will work against most guys, but not the elite. When you have an elite player, you have to channel him somewhere. Wall could work against Delly, but not Irving. J.Simms did as best he could trying to stay in front of Irving, and got called on a phantom foul as a matter of fact. I saw some of that "wall" against Houston too, but it was less noticeable.
I would start Anderson too. Him and Gordon are the same draft class and have faced each other often.

He act's like he's owed something but he's not. He doesn't have the skill nor the swagger to be an all-star player. He's lucky the Magic gave him that undeserved max. I mentioned it throughout the nba forum, they were about to get exposed as mental midgets. They are NOT at all average at even fundamental basketball which is the SPURS are elite at. Teams can just shoot threes all night on the weakside and beat the Magic mentally. They fall to pieces when the opponent is making threes with the lead.

Vucevic is an elite offensive post player and he's the only person elite at an aspect in the game that the Magic possess. None of the Magic players lead in aspect in the game that is positive towards winning games.
I feel the Magic have quit even more knowing that teams like Washington and the Cheap Cavaliers keep beating their ass. The Wizards swept the Magic and kept exposing them as mental midgets and since those games..they haven't ever been the same. Kris Humphries had four threes against them in a game man.

If the Magic by some time shift anomaly, win this game, it'll automatically be the best win the the past 3 years of mediocrity or that OKC win.

The only players worth keeping is Oladipo, Gordon, Hezonja, Payton, and Dedmon. Fournier and Harris and Frye are trade bait.

I live in Orlando but watched the Spurs since 99' when I was 9 years old. I'm 26 now. I favor Orlando more since its home and no one supports them here. Been a magic fan since 03. All of the fans have become Miami fans...and YOU all should know how unbearable they are. Even before then, they still didn't receive enough support.

I'm neutral in matches like this. I don't care who wins. Since I know both teams so well, I know the Spurs are taking it easy on the Magic and I know the Magic ain't going to do anything about it
