With a very-long shot outside chance of even having four, if both the Thunder finish 22–9 (very plausible) AND the Clippers finish 28–6 (much less likely).

When is the last time that 3 teams from the same conference have won 60+?

They has only been THREE 60 win teams in the ENTIRE league during a single season; 2008-09 (Celtics, Lakers, Cavs)

The 2001-02 Western conference was the one w/ four legit contenders that almost won 60: Kings, Lakers, Spurs, Mavs. Had 3 teams win 59+ in 2002-03 (Spurs, Mavs, Kings).

So to answer my question, if the Thunder did it it would be a first all-time? Likewise, if the Thunder and Cavs both did it, it would be the first time FOUR teams did it in the same season?

Cavs need to go 25–9, which they're capable of but tend to rest guys near the end once they've locked up #1 in the East.

It came really close to happening in 1995, when the Spurs won 62, the Jazz 60, the Suns 59, and the Rockets beat all three in the playoffs.

Actually during Duncan's rookie year which was '97-'98 there were 4 teams to win 60 plus games. Jazz,Sonics,Lakers and Bulls all won 60 plus games.

Mailman could have cemented his legacy as a top 10 player if he didn't choke in the 98 Finals but had instead beaten three 60 win teams on his way to a chip.:lol
