I know people are saying it's close or he's being sincere but I just can't buy into that idea. You can tell quite a bit or more than one would assume by checking out these recruits twitter accounts. As someone who's really into recruiting that's all you have to base a judgement call around this time of year and there's nothing there to indicate he has any interest in Texas. If anyone here has a Twitter just check out the post Kary likes. Literally every thing he likes is related to LSU and that's while being in Austin to seek interest and information from a possible suitor for his college career. There's no way.

I played football with a Maori from New Zealand named David Dixon, (his nickname was Kiwi) he played two years at a little JC in Idaho and transferred to ASU. He was a legit 6'5 to 6'6 and weighed about 310 when I knew him. He also ran a legit 4.8 hand timed 40. He grew up playing Rugby and was offered a scholarship at this JC.

He ended up playing about 16 years in the NFL mostly with the Minnesota Vikings.

What I remember most about this monster was I was one day waiting in line to take a crap, he comes out of the stall with a big grin on his face and tells me, it's all yours. This is the hold up on dropping this post. I can't figure out what the hell is for sure going on. I talked to someone on the Texas side earlier in the week and he felt really good about UT's chances. So I was feeling pretty good. The visit was better than it appeared to the naked eye but that's for the off-line. Then I get a text this morning stating it's going to be LSU, but that info is coming from the LSU side. This particular source I've used often, especially last year during Erick Fowler's recruitment. Reading Chaisson it would be easy to feel comfortable with predicting a Texas commitment: he wants to major in Petroleum Engineering, he often talks about being his own man, and if he wanted to commit to LSU he has had numerous opportunities to do so. He's stated he's not going to follow anyone, but Marvin Wilson being split (at least publicly) between LSU and FSU can't hurt (I'd still pick LSU for him). We also know for a fact that Chaisson was set to pick Texas in late November, early December. I'm truly torn. I'm guessing he isn't, but he definitely knows how to cause confusion. Texas will have its in-home with Chaisson tonight. LSU goes tomorrow before he heads to Florida. He will announce on NSD. I can't shake the text I got.

My confidence in Chaisson wavered this week after talking to a source tied into the LSU staff (I'll share the exact conversation after NSD). My exchange with this source today was short, and you'll find sweet.

"Seems like LSU writers are losing confidence on Chaisson. Have you heard anything new?"

"Yes, they think they're pretty much out. Never heard why but they're not confident."

Works for me. This guy is a huge LSU fan, but he's no blind homer so when he told me the Tigers were looking very good for him earlier this week I put a lot of stock in it.

Losing confidence… My pick for Chaisson has been on LSU for two years now since they first offered him a scholarship. And LSU is still standing, but I am losing some confidence here. Now, LSU is still in contact with Chaisson each day. Remember, LSU went in-home with him on Friday morning before he flew out, and they even followed him to the airport. He told me that really blew him away. That said, Texas was at his school all day on Thursday and then in-home with him until late Thursday evening. I certainly think the Texas smoke is real. Is he completely out of the picture for LSU? Of course not. Even the Texas side feels it’s a battle to Signing Day. That said, I am starting to lose some confidence here.
