3 explosive offenses looked uttery helpless against Denver. The offense was outgained in every game but the defense and special teams really carried this team. Peyton was just a game manager and the offensive playcalling was conservative, but this defense was a juggernaut. 14 sacks in the 3 games, Brady/Newton held to 45/97 passing with 1TD and 3 INT. The pressure and control of the pocket was relentless. This is the best defensive performance I can remember

Legendary defense tbh Reminds me of the 02-03 Superbowl Bucs

Would easily shit all over any era of NFL defense that actually allows them to play

All I know is that the Browns could sure use a guy like T.J. Ward on their defense...

Lol.

Remember back in the day when Shanahan would pick up all the Browns defensive line castaways?

Courtney Brown and Gerard Warren (Michael Dean Perry, too, way back in the day.) They did a little bit better with Ward. Good player. Was a good player in Cleveland, too. Not the greatest cover guy in the world but he hits and makes plays. It was nice to see him kick ass on the big stage.

Von Miller is a fucking beast.

Somewhat on topic: good by Manning on accepting the game-managing role a lot of folks here thought he wouldn't accept.

I agree...best defense in recent memory. They absolutely hammered the Steelers/Patriots/Panthers. That's about as hard as a superbowl road as it gets tbh. Just think about it...the Broncos offense wasn't even average...it wasn't even decent. It was a terrible offense, in essence our defense scored more or as many points as the offense did in each game.

Dan Marino says hello.

Ripped them Monday night in a huge game.
