I am 100% getting this. Dying Light was one of my favorite recent gaming experiences, and this looks phenomenal.

I can't believe how many people hated on Dying Light. You read the reviews and they seemed bored, but this was easily my favorite game of 2015 until Fallout 4 came and dominated everything.

I wonder how the game is going to hold up without Harran? I always thought the city was one of the big stars of the game, having tons of buildings to jump in between in such a densely populated area.

I like it so far, it actually seems more difficult now and early on it means something to not be caught out at night again but I'm also playing on hard. But I like the buggy so far, hope it doesnt take too long to upgrade. still plenty of chances to parkour :tu

I think the Enhanced Edition is the complete game with all DLC.

Will probably end up buying it tbh, it'd be really jew of me to not pay for a game that I play that damn much.

It's like $20 for the DLC. I almost always pirate for DLC but Dying Light will be one of the few exceptions for me.

I hate DLCs.

And I hate the fact that they're making expansion packs and charging you more for it.

The Following is larger than the base game from what I've read. Hardly constitutes usual DLC. They put a ton of work into it, and it reportedly is 12-20+ hours of game time. That's a lot for $20.

Agreed. I'm as jew as the next guy, but certain developers still give you nearly what you pay for.

Looks like the PC version is rock solid while the XB1 version has horrible frame drops below 30 fps and the PS4 version has annoying jumps to 60 fps when it's trying to target 30 fps.

I picked this shit up a couple of days ago and started a new playthrough, and I have to say without a doubt Dying Light is my favorite game of 2015. Better than even Fallout 4 or Witcher 3. This game is so much fun once you get to having sickles that can cut heads off.

Techland really upgraded the performance of this game bigtime since I last played on version 1.05. I could occasionally get my framerate below 60 fps on that version, but if I turn off vsync on the current version 1.10 I'm getting 100-140 fps when running, 90 fps when fighting a lot of zombies at once, and the lowest dips are to the low 80s with all settings maxed except shadow map size, which I turn to high instead of very high (as that's a cpu bound setting and I'm running a locked cpu). They have really optimized the hell out of this game, it runs flawlessly on my system now.

The Following is quite a bit harder than the original game so far. The volatile nests are crazy.

I just finished The Following, and man, this is a fucking masterpiece. Sucks that you have to pay $20 more to get the real ending of Dying Light, but if you liked the main game this is absolute can't miss shit.

It's like that early on before you build up your character. The combat really becomes awesome once you start getting sickles and swords instead of planks and pipes.

Just finished DL, good game. Hated some of the Mario-esque platforming, especially the final boss mission. Too long, repetitive and indeed clunky in a sense.

Had my fill and didn't try The Following tbh.

The Following is the real ending of the game.

Just started playing Dying Light. It's hard as hell even on regular difficulty. I assume things get easier as you go and develop your character and get better weapons/upgrades, but I keep dying. There's almost no point in trying to fight a zombie unless it's completely isolated. The controls/movement system is fun as hell though.

It's pretty hard to kill them early on and stays that way until you level up a bit. Bats end up being pretty good for cracking skulls early on, but the combat really starts getting fun when you level up to get sickles and swords. You have to aim for the head too, body shots are pretty worthless in the game. It's important to recover and return aid packages early on, as it levels you up pretty quickly. Though Rais' thugs who usually beat you to the pickup are really hard to kill early on.

Yeah, I'm at a point now where I have a pretty long list of side quests. I'm just going to work through those and do drop pickups before I advance the main story any more.

The beauty of early game Dying Light.. every encounter is tense. Have you made it through your first night yet?

If by "made it through", you mean dying quickly or rushing to a safe house to get some sleep... then yes, I've made it through a bunch of nights. :lol

I had to dance around it cause I didn't want to spoil the Hunters chasing you around for the first time

Finally have some decent weapons and the grappling hook. Plus traveling around at night is a whole lot easier now. I still die a lot, but that's mostly to just being careless.
