I remember Jack McClinton. After so generously being drafted by the Spurs, he had the audacity to ask to be released so he could sign with another team where he thought he had a better chance of making the roster. He ended up signing with Minnesota and getting cut during training camp. He's never set foot on an NBA floor since.
