Kawhi and LMA are becoming a guaranteed 50 combined points per night, and Green has finally stopped being a waste of space and is back to his +4.00ish RPM level.

Just need the old big 3 to stay healthy and we can hopefully Buster Douglas Wardell and Co. to the fuckin' mat.

The chemistry Kawhi and LMA have going on right now is fantastic. Great to see. Danny starting to look like Danny is just gravy on top.

Gotta love how Green happened to find more talent over the past month and a half.

Sure was refreshing to see both of them drilling every single shot from the line in the last 6 minutes as opposed to Manu giving games away the past few years in the same situation.

Don't get me wrong, Green still looks like a pee-wee basketball player when he attempts anything other than a 3, but he's hitting that now and doing his 3&D thang in the Bowen mold.

Hardwork pays off, even if your core athleticism and such are D-league level. Bowen proved it, and so is Green.

Nah. Bowen was equal with Tony in the Big 3 era, and Green is basically Bowen 2.0, bringing a similar impact defensively.

a 3&D player cant be apart of a big anything.

Green is a role player, and so far hes only done a good job of that for about a month and a half this season.

Green been contributing. Don't care to sh** on him for that, tbh.

You've always been on point with your Danny Green takes :tu

Team just wouldn't be the same without him. He's an x factor on the defensive end. Always in the right spots and using his hands well on that end.

Green defense was amazing in the fourth..he was so locked in that a line-up-juggling, near-white-flag-waving Pop stayed with him the entire quarter for full 12 mins..

I have to disagree. Bowen's aging/retirement sent the Spurs perimeter defense into a tailspin until we filled his role with Leonard (Leonard's rookie year was basically a Bowen role) and then Green. Just think of the dead weight we tried to use until Kawhi. Keith Bogans, Dick, Udoka, Roger Mason, way past his prime Michael Finley, etc, etc.

Leonard was not a big anything his rookie year.

and failing to adequately replace a role player doesnt make him a big anything either. wth is wrong with ST today? shitty takes everywhere.

Basically no.
Better shooter but can't cover the range of players Bowen could.

according to you bowen was equal to tony... yet even you refer to that period as "the big 3 era".

do you think green is equal to kawhi or lma?

and if not then why do you consider it a big 3?

I mean, Green can get lit up by Nash and Dirk just as much as Bowen did. Actually, probably less for both, but that's not part of the joke.

Bowen is one of my favourite player of all time, but Green is for sure a much better player.

Seems like Danny's form has been a bit inconsistent lately. Checked out highlights for the Heat game and noticed there's a little curry in his release+dropping his arms behind his back after release. Then in last night's game he wasn't. Nothing major, really, just a silly observation. Then there's the shoes he's been wearing lately. Quite colorful. Ultimately, it's good to see his confidence/comfort level rising again.

He certainly put the clamps on.

The whole team seem to follow, go up another notch on d.

Catchier name.

But in reality, it was the Big 4 era. Bowen was a fantastic defender and impacted the game just as much Tony, if not more in some cases.

This is basically what the Spurs will look like when Tim & Manu retire. Not blowing teams out of the water, but still a pretty good team.
