If I'm channel surfing and come across this movie, I'll almost always tune in to watch the rest.
Compelling story based on true events. Travolta turns in a typical pandering performance. His sincerity is not believable and seems forced.
However, the rest of the cast is brilliant.
William Macy, Tony Shalhoub, John Lithgow, Kathleen Quinlan, James Gandolfini, Dan Hedaya, Sydney Pollack...all turn in great performances.
Robert Duvall is perfectly cast and it's one of my favorite roles for him.
That "supporting" cast absolutely makes this a very good movie.
