Everyone knows those don't exist. Look through the Church of Kawhi thread and Kawhi draft day thread. That nigga is nowhere to be found despite claiming "I have sucked Kawhis dick since day one"

Kawhi has progressed about how I figured he would, tbh. The only thing I didn't know is that he could be that dominant on defense. Jimmer had burned him too many times, I guess, for me to know. But even at the time, I thought Steve Fischer had to quick a hook.

Op you do realize you're comparing a 5th banana at best potential wise, and 4th banana in a pretender team to the third leader in scoring, and 2 second banana ceiling on a contender team right?

Why you do this?

I think there's still a lot of hype surrounding him so we can take advantage of that.

He's a terrible offensive player so we can exploit dumbass teams.

I say we trade leonard for Ariza and Beal...

To be fair, he was warming to him (by no means 2nd or 3rd option) as we approached the 2013 playoffs.

I am by no means saying make him a 2 or a 3rd option, but you can't reduce to him to a spot up shooter. Duncan, and ginobili were having bad nights yet he stubbornly goes to Duncan and Ginobili.

In the third quarter, he runs 3 straight post up plays for boris fcking diaw. WTF?

Pop I think trust green on the offensive end even more than Leonard. They usually run more 3pt shots for him, and Leonard having to get most of his shots thru fastbreak and putbacks..

I also noticed tonight, that green did a few screen/ pick-roll picks while leonard was reduced to none. I'm sure pop is saying " Be patient, maybe in a few years" or some shit....For this team to win, Spitter and leonard needs to be involved.

EDIT:

I'll also add the fact that he had leonard as an option when no one except for tony parker was making a shot.

I still remember him being interviewed and saying after the rookie/sophomore game that he loved being around for ASG weekend, and envisioned himself being there every year in the main game.. :tu not bad so far Kawhi

so by leonard's 2nd season he thought kawhi shouldn't be 2nd or 3rd option, and made a post saying his ceiling is 2nd option

still waiting for him to cite his post where he called kawhi a future superstar in his rookie season :lol

Nobody envisioned Kawhi to have the offensive game he has development. I thought he could be DPOY of the year. Even if the Spurs had the #1 pick that year, I would have wanted them to draft Kawhi. He was the missing piece that was taken out when Bowen got old and retired.

I don't remember ANYONE saying he would be an offensive force because he had one of the worse shooting mechanics of any player drafted that year. It was the only reason he fell in the draft. I thought his offensive ceiling was 12-14 ppg max due to him being open mostly. I never thought he would have the Jordan high post jumpshot game which very few players in the NBA master.

And Superstar means you're an Allstar starter and then some.

I said he'd be the Al Horford of small-forwards. So it looks like he passed up my expectations. But anyway, Apa's been on the Leonard train for about a long as anyone, and he's been vocal and annoying in how persistent he is in his belief. I think he deserves from props, even if he wasn't clairvoyant

Harden is a superstar and has never started in his career. Starting isa popularity contest. Butler is a borderline supersatr and he lost to wade.

I never expected hed get the recognition he gets now.

I dont expect casuals and vanillas to understand that though

None of my friends at SDSU had a clue that we were watching history in the making. The kid showed great improvement in his dribbling skills, but his 3 pt shooting was 25% at best. Dang lucky to get his autograph now. But I was surprised you guys were so high on him. Sure it was amazing to see him in the starting lineup, and in a trip to SA wearing my Aztec T, at ATT his rookie year someone yelled to me that he was going to be a good one....I felt like beating my chest and fell in love with your town. Pop nurtured him along and I could be wrong but I don't see that happening anywhere else.
