100% for real Kona from Safari Coffee Shop in Escondido (San Diego County).
2 things about Kona.
a. Most are a mix with only a % being Kona
b. Hawaii got hit hard by a bug and a lot of unethical traders still sell the bugged chit. You have to find the 100% untainted. It is pricey. Like $45 a pound, $7 a cup.

This Geisha sounds interesting:
I will give this place a whirl and share.
Last month in San Francisco, Bird Rock Coffee Roasters’ naturally processed Geisha varietal from the Lino Lot on the Esmeralda Estate in Panama won a 2016 Good Food Award in the highly competitive coffee category. It was one of only three winners from California and the only selection from San Diego.

Coffee snob thread. Nice.

One day I'll go all out like that. Until then, McDonald's is pretty good for the price. Dunkin Donuts too.

We could do a bet on a game or something to get you $7.

I would never make fun of you or anybody who could not/did not want to spend $7 on a cup of coffee.
I've been in distressed financial times before. And yes, at times a 59 cent cup of joe from McDs really hit the spot.

Always think it's one of the lamest schticks, making fun of poor, homelessness etc.

If you had a hangover, you might not have been in the best condition to judge coffee...

LOL...

I don't really know how to respond to your question.

How about a little fact of my personal circumstances?

I never thought Starbucks was anything special. From what I understand, they do right to their employees. I never thought their coffee was anything special. I like both Seattle's Best and Coffee People better. I was a regular visitor to Coffee People. Some years back, since Coffee People was so much better, and cheaper, Starbucks bought them out. The made some locations a Starbucks, and others just disappeared.

Coffee People was no more...

Yes, I have a personal dislike for their tactics of buying out the competition, trying to monopolize the market.

I wonder if Dutch Brothers will be their next acquisition in my area for attempting a monopoly?

I don't drink coffee so I have no idea if theirs is good. But the things opi have had from them have all been good. Mostly frappucinos. Lol a people who have so much disdain for a company that they won't acknowledge that they have some tasty shit. I don't know a whole lot of other options for something like that. Sonic's mocha chillers are good but their isn't a sonic on every corner. I also like the green tea. And the cake pops.

That's why I hate Starbucks. When someone has a good product in competition with them, they buy them out, to keep their large market share. They keep our choices limited, and prices high. Competition leads to lower prices.

Just speaking from my experience. Don't really know much about the company. Are they supposed to be a great company or some shit?/?

Don't give a fuck. Their product is shitty at best. I tried a few different ones and that shit is so disgustingly sweet and the coffee is nowhere to be found. And then when I order a plain cofee, they looked at me like I was a homeless scrub and handed me the shittiest plain cofeee I have ever tasted.

Starbucks is shit and nothing else I have tried even comes close to shittyness

All I'm saying is if you want to be called a great coffee maker your plain cofee has to be elite level. Starcucks is at the lowest levels possible.

Ruta Maya's 1kg bag o' medium roast.

HEB can't seem to keep it on the shelves. I have to visit about 4 or 5 different HEB's on a regular basis to get it.

Now that I know I can get it online... might just bypass the middleman.

It does wear out over time though. Mine lasted about 2 years, but I used it a LOT.

I'm assuming the rubber-ish end of the plunger, right? You can order replacement parts. I suspect that mine is on it's last legs.
