yeah....my feelings are that Trump needs to nominate a minority to have any chance of winning, and preferably a Hispanic.....but the way the he and Rubio have gone negative in this campaign, I doubt Rubio wants anything to do with a Trump/Rubio ticket......meanwhile, New Jersey papers are calling for Christie to step down...one paper even withdrew their endorsement of Christie....so Christie decides to leave town and hopefully nail a cabinet position for a Trump endorsement joining Sarah Palin...

....Cruz is interesting...but the GOP needs to understand that Cubans and Hispanics don't associate themselves together as being 'Latino' or 'Hispanic' ...Cubans are south Americans, true, but not hispanic, at least not according to Mexicans..

Are you confusing Cuba with Columbia or Argentina or something?

No....believe it or not Mexicans think they are better than all south Americans...and....they don't really like Cubans....

You got it mostly right, but let's clarify.

Cubans are Central Americans, but the reason Cubans are generally disliked by hispanos is the fact that they get preferential treatment when it comes to immigration.
Any Cuban gets immediate visa and a path to citizenship, they never experience the struggle of your typical migrant Hispanic (mexican or central/south americans) family.

So yeah, a person with Cuban heritage is much less likely to pick up "Hispanic" votes than a person with an actual Mexican or even Central (except Cuba)/South American heritage...

There is the refugee versus immigrant debate IMO....but Hispanics are racists against most Central Americans and Cubans are racists against Latinos...

Presidential candidates hardly ever select one of their primary challengers as their VP.

Kasich said he's not interested in VP - he's got the best job in the world as governor.

Hispanics don't really relate to Cruz, not because of the Cuban thing, he's just as white washed as they come. Even Rubio just assumed he couldn't speak Spanish, most people view him as a white guy.

Lol you got it way wrong. In this country we all in the same boat and considered wetbacks so we stick together.

Cubans are pretty special and usually fit in among most if not all Hispanic groups.

Only Hispanics that are usually detested by others are Puerto Ricans, argentines and Chileans :lol

Christie probably wants VP because he has the mob connections to make him President by late 2017.
