I don't think Trump prepares that much. His reliance on his "keeping it real" moments also hurts him when he doesn't have a canned prewritten response to hard questions like the other guys do.

If by "win" in the sense of an actual, properly scored debate, Kasich won.

If by "win" you mean who did what they needed to do to get people to vote for you so you can eventually win the presidency, Trump won.

I don't know how many votes he lost, but we might be seeing peak Trump. To be able to convince anyone else to support him, he would have to actually have something resembling policies. As it is, his base of low-to-no information voters will back him to the death because they are now living completely vicariously through their orange messiah.

You think so? He is still a long way from getting the necessary number of delegates and at the current rate he has been winning he'd be about 100 short. Though there are some large winner take all states still left. I don't see Trump getting the nomination at a brokered convention.

Trump is overperforming according to multiple sources, Cruz was supposed to be ahead right now because he was supposed to win the south.

You sound like an imbecile right now. Kasich easily won this debate. Wasn't even close.

This was a poor debate for Trump just like the previous one. He was on the defensive and doesn't even know how to affectively hammer a flawed candidate like Rubio. Rubio is the worst candidate in Republican history on immigration yet he was delivering blow after blow without any effective response from Trump.

The last debate really hurt Trump. He was supposed to win 10 out of 11 states on Super Tuesday and lost 4 states including getting killed by Cruz in Texas. He finished 3rd in Minnesota despite leading the polls a week before the debate. He barely won Vermont against Kasich, Virginia against Rubio, and Arkansas against Cruz. This debate performance could have the same affect in the next polls. Quit acting like a fucking cheerleader especially when your guy isn't pounding a weakling Rubio when he easily could.

He underperformed big time on Super Tuesday. He was supposed to win 10 out of 11 polls and keep it close in Texas but lost 4 states, almost lost 3 more, and got his butt kicked in Texas. This debate tonight won't help.

Rubio went from "this is a race between Trump and me" two weeks ago to "I better win Florida or I'm done" after Super Tuesday... talk is cheap if you can't get people to go to the poll and vote for you.

Plus it's clear that the typical smear campaigns don't work against Trump. He's one of the most epic liars I remember, and his campaign amounts to twitter-style trolling, but they can't make a dent.

The fact that he's truly an outsider gives him enormous leeway, and it obviously helps he's not a boring fuck like Carson.

because calling him Little Marco is all that's needed.

I've taken to watching MSNBC because although they hate Trump they are at least giving decent analysis of what he is doing to win. I heard Chris Matthews make an interesting observation about Trump. Trump doesn't just hurl random insults like Rubio has tried to do towards Trump. Trump picks some little character flaw or something about a persons appearance that is actually there and then hammers people with it until it sticks. Like low energy Jeb and liar Cruz. No reason to think Little Marco isn't going to work also, he does look like a little kid who wants to be the boss.

WOW.

That shit made the junior high school lunch room look like a place of high-minded consideration.

DETROIT — Thursday’s Republican presidential debate made us all dumber.
It was a disgrace. As people wake up in capitals around the world Friday morning, in London and Addis Ababa and Riyadh and Beijing and Seoul, newscasters will be forced to find a way to discuss, in their local euphemisms, Donald Trump’s dick size.
The exchanges on the stage at the Fox Theater in Motown centered around erstwhile reality television star Donald Trump, who found, as usual, a way to be even more outrageous than he has been in previous debates.

And he referred to my hands, if they are small, something else must be small,” Trump deadpanned. “I guarantee you there’s no problem. I guarantee you.”

He wins in a USA today poll by like 3 points :lol although the gap between hillary and trump has slowly narrowed in poll averages.

If Trump gets his nomination and he doesn't suddenly fuck up (not sure how he can at this point), it might be a close race or even Hillary being destroyed tbh. It just seems like Trump continues to gain voters and if the GOP finally backs him fully, it's over.

There was a local Long Island poll conducted there where Trump was preferred over Hillary with all voters. I think it will be a real question that will have to be answered if Trump is nominated, he doesn't seem hated in New York and we need some good polling after he's nominated to make a real say what will the picture look like.

Like I said, the consequences to Trump's attitude is unpredictable and we don't know what the democratic turnout will look like when Bern is out.

Sure, he'll win some counties in New York.

The real question will eventually be how many counties will Hillary lose, tbh. We can both agree on two things, I think.

1. Both candidates are generally disliked, when the smoke clears come November it'll be about who got the most shit stuck on them
2. Whether or not Trump loses or gains voters with his antics is completely unpredictable.

Hillary has the advantage right now, her party isn't shattered and attacking its frontrunner. Once the GOP decides between Trump or being irrelevant for 20+ years things will be easier to predict.
