That would be his only chance to win another title.

Imagine you can put him on PF or PG/SG...

He's just looking for a reason to bolt :lol

Begged for Thompson to get a terrible contract, got it.
Begged for Blatt to get fired, got it.
Now he's saying the locker room was pissed when Perkins was let go lmfao

Cavs are doing everything he says, and as soon as they don't... He got his excuse to gtfo

Let him join the Spurs when no longer in his prime, but can contribute.
He can be a role player. Ultimate win of Spurs vs Lebron :lol

Doubt Durant joins the dubs though..

Ultimate beta move if it happens. Worse than "the decision"

LeBron always wants max money and plays the same position of our best/youngest key player.

LeBron has also been shit on by SAS twice in the Finals and is lucky as hell he won the one time he did.

He will never be a Spur.

The thought did cross my mind, if KD does that, I can see it, in fact all of his Pop praise might be him laying the ground work just in case. LBJ is very Machiavellian, he was the first player to set up his contract to coincide with jumps in the salary cap. I can see him taking the two guard spot Evita vacates, in a year or two. Were this to happen the NBA would immediately change the playoff format since the two super powers would be in the same conference.

If Durrant went to GSW, it would confirm he was a beta. LeBron +32 isn't worth the drama...I don't want him near a Spurs lockerroom...too many cooks would be in that kitchen.

see I think that San Antonio is the one place where he wouldn't show his ass. Just like he submitted to Pat Riley, he would submit to Pop, for a year or two, and then double back to the 'Land for a piece of the team.

Would welcome with open arms.
Dragging below average teams to the Finals for years.

Most like Westbrook to the Spurs then we can have 5+ years of Westbrook and Kawhi vs Durant and Curry.

Why would the Spurs downgrade from Leonard to Lebron?

It won't be a downgrade. It's either Kawhi at the 2 or LeBron at the 4.

LeBron's in Cleveland until he wins a title there

If he did, that'd be the ultimate "gotten over yourself" moment that Pop's always talmbout :lol

As he gets older, a strong system would help cover up his fading athleticism. He'd have to sacrifice some ego, though.

He will recruit anyone and everyone until that happens imo...

LeBron likes being in conference with an easier path to the finals - there is very little true competition to get to the finals for James. He does not want to leave that cushy conference.

Yes clearly the Warriors need to upgrade a team on pace for 76 wins and back to back chips.. Clearly..

I think it would be a bad move for GS. Seriously, why mess with what's working so well? KD needs the ball a lot to be productive. I look at this as another Jefferson type move...but, for GS instead of us. Yeah, KD is much better, but the principle is the same. It could really mess with their current chemistry, which is as good as it gets right now.

Uh...on second thought...what a great idea!! ;)

Okay, so this season it's Butler, Miller, and Martin. The precedent is established. Even bigger and better things are ahead.

The big news in late Feb / early March of the year 2026 will be that the Spurs have signed free agents LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, who have all been released by their respective teams, but who all want to make one last try for a ring.

Mark it on the calendar.

Lebron and Kawhi playing on the same team = DAMN SCARY!

Lebron and Kawhi playing defence on the same team backed up by LMA and Duncan = I really don't know what to say!

Well said, have the same feeling.

Beside I think they would have to get rid of Barnes and Iggy, not a good idea for their team chemistry.

:lol It's never happening, but you'd be crazy not to welcome Lebron to SA with open arms if he actually wanted to come here..
