It just results in a low scoring affair where the Spurs hopefully manage to score a point or more than their opponent. They blow out teams that aren't worth a damn (thus padding their gaudy stats) and squeak by or lose against the better teams. The record and great point differential is meaningless if you can't perform at a high level against playoff teams.
