Have a feeling they will, tbh:lol
I probably would if I was Kerr..keep some of the potential mental edge from the first game..they still play the Spurs 2 more times following this matchup..

I doubt it tbh. Would be surprised. This Warriors team seems very self-aware of all the records and accolades that surround them this season. They know they haven't won a regular season game here since 1997, and I think they will come into this game with a chip on their shoulder because of it.

I think they feel they need this game as much as the Spurs considering they haven't won in SA in decades. Plus if they get the win without Iggy and Etzeli in an arena the Spurs haven't lost in over a year, it'll deflate the Spurs massively even if most want to say otherwise.

No way warriors rest players... they want to break the 72 and they want to make it clear they are the best team period. I believe they will go all in

Logic says they won't, since the Spurs could still catch them for HCA..
However, Kerr seems like the type of nigga that would intentionally pull a Pop vs. Pop on a national TV game, especially assuming that Pop is going to rest some guys in at least 1 of the future Warriors games IMO..

Depends on how they come out of the Mavs game. If they have to expend a lot of energy or someone is nicked up then he will probably rest the weary but otherwise Draymond won't let it happen b/c he's clamoring for the DPOY.:lol If anything, Kerr might pull the plug early if things get out of hand like the "Kawhi Game".
Besides, I don't see why Pop would rest starters if the #1 seed is still in play since none of the matchups are on a B2B for the Spurs.:downspin:
(The only one looking weary is Porker & that addition by subtraction:lol)

No because they want to try to end the home game winning streak most likley.

Nah I don't think so. Not only are the Spurs within striking distance, but they seem pretty damn focused on breaking 72 wins. Don't see them throwing any games away until they've already done that or it's no longer possible.

Need to stop hyping this stat up. It doesn't matter since they have won in SA during the playoffs which was 3 years ago. So it really hasn't been that long since the Warriors have won in this building.

Nope, as others said they want that 72 wins.

But THEY will care. I guarantee it's been mentioned in their locker room and will be again when reporters inevitably ask them about it in the coming days.

Stop being a purist tbh. It clearly says "Regular Season". For good or bad NBA split records between RS and Playoffs.

(The only one looking weary is Porker & that addition by subtraction:lol) I think GSW see it as a nothing to lose kind of game. Win and 'we are unbeatable' lose and 'we were tired.. without Iggy.' I think the Spurs need to be without mercy and murder them. As long as they play them tough I'm okay with any outcome. :ihitYeah what happens in Dallas will play a part. Hope Dallas gives them a game!

I mentioned this on my last podcast..but I don't think Kerr can get away with it like Pop. Spurs are known for it obviously for years now. If Kerr does it I think it sends the wrong message to his team. Maybe a little doubt or "proper fear" would be a thing to get away with..but not this cocky team. If anything Kerr would prefer to get blown out at full strength tbh

:lol Kerr has nowhere near the power that Pop has to pull that kinda move, Raymond would eat his ass up pre-game tbh

He might, but doubt it....Warriors do not have more than a day off in between games the rest of the way until before the last game of the season. They have three remaining back to backs. Kerr could rest players during two sets of four strait home games. One set is at the end this month and the other is at beginning of next month.

If the Warriors win this game, they pretty much sock home court advantage away. Only a fucking idiot would rest players for this game.
:pop:
Iggy and Ezeli are out with injuries. No need to rest guys, they already have an excuse.

The hype doesn't stop there at all. This talk about home winning streaks is also regular season only but it gets tons of attention.

Not this one. Losing doesn't cost them much, but a win would be a tactical nuke strike to the Spurs' pursuit of their 1-seed and their collective mentality towards this opponent.

I don't think he will do it but this wouldn't be the dumbest idea imo.
Reason being, this game for me has the feel of a spurs blowout. Spurs playing very well as of late especially on defense. Warriors kind of regressing a bit after all star break. Spurs want payback for being humiliated last time they played each other. We need at least one win against the warriors to know that we can beat them and this game will be it.
The last 2 games between these two teams are too close to the end of the year that they honestly may not matter at all. So this game the Spurs need as a confidence booster to know that we can beat them and Pop knows it. Even if Iggy is out, it would be a sweet win.
But if Kerr decides to rest Curry/Thompson or Green along with Iggy being out, it would really deflate the chance of beating a strong Warriors team and wouldn't mean much psychologically.

If the Mavs play them like they are playing the Cavs in the first half tonight without Lebron the Warriors starters will only play 20 minutes each. I doubt they'll need the rest Saturday.
Fuck no, they'd treat Kerr worse than Sterling. Kerr knows he has to go for it. Pop might.

We're talking about the Warriors, a team who cares about stats and called plays for Dray to get his last assist in the 4th quarter to complete the triple-double...They won't rest players against the 2nd best NBA record.

Too much upside from winning. Not enough upside from losing.
No need to overthink this ;)
