Funny you mention it; I had forgotten about it and just got around to looking at it an hour ago. It's nothing I haven't heard from Pop before, but it's a very good video. I appreciate you posting it :toast

Obviously pre-weight loss for Pop.

Yeah it's a great vid. Got a few of my buddies to watch it too. They don't watch or play basketball, and found it enjoyable

My brother, who's a teacher and varsity soccer coach, has shown this to all his students and assistants as required viewing.

This should finally close all cases in which people here think the Spurs would sign this or that nutjob. Pop knows he cannot change players ... he tried with Stephen Jackson and got rid of him because he was selfish.

They uploaded it like 1,5 years after the fact. It was in Berlin after the Spurs won the Championship.
I'm pissed I forgot to share it with you (watched it like 2 hours before it was posted here). :)

That was a great informing video. The whole pit the chairs all over the court an work on simple stuff like jump step. Fundamentals for real. An the timeouts, classic. Make grown men figure it out. Empowering to them as a unit.
I like Pop's discussion of the two EXTREMES of Spurs basketball - 1. Championship vs. 2. Lose in the 1st round
He does it unconsciously - never even considers "missing the playoffs" as an option half the teams in the league endure every season.

Thanks for sharing. Very interesting to see his views on managing the relationships with players and management.
