I don't have a word for losing a 12 point lead with 34 seconds left...

Spurs have been such victims of last minute collapse
This game ended my chance of winning our office tournament. Killed me. And I was watching it until OT. Once you piss away a game like that in regulation, it's a guarantee you are going to eventually lose it.

As painful as that was as a fan, it was only one game during the regular season. It was a loss by professionals, who get paid lots of money to play, win or lose. Some UNI players might be done for their careers. As excited as I was for the Aggies, I can't help but feel terrible for the kids from Iowa.

TMAC's finish was legendary, unforgettable what he did at the end of that game. Least it was just in the regular season and not game 6 of the 2013 finals.

I don't follow college ball. Was that like a knock out game or something?

Yes. It was like watching a slow motion disaster video. No physical scars, yet some kids may need counseling, it was so sad.

Actually we won a championships some weeks after the T-Mac game. At the time it happened, I hated it and T-Mac...but if someone brings it up now, I just get a smile onto my face, knowing it turned out very well für us.

Thanks for pointing this out as I don't follow college basketball. However I watched the video and the coach should be fired. In this sense it was nothing like T-Mac doing something awesome, it was just players giving it away time after time after time. At what point did these kids think it was a smart decision to jump out of bounds with the ball, make crappy inbound passes, not help the guy who is trapped...? At what point did their coach think it was ok to leave them in such a crappy situation?

No doubt, it was bad play/coaching all the way around for UNI. I still feel bad for them, but they were playing with "house" money. Their two games prior to the Aggie game they won on buzzer beaters.

Yah the McGrady performance was more impressive from an offensive/player standpoint, but the Rockets were down 8 with 35 seconds before McGrady made his first 3 of the sequence. These kids were up 12 with less time and got beat pretty much with turnovers and uncontested layups (in a win-or-go-home game). Much bigger collapse.

The Spurs walked away with a lesson they could use to win a title. These kids walked away with a scar that will follow them until they die.

The Spurs have lived every conceivable choke situation imaginable. Including literally having a title taken out of their hands.
